First-year students draw lots to determine their peer mentors and, by a stroke of fate, Arm lands himself in the exclusive circle of "Perfect 10 Liners," a group comprising extraordinary students from various years, with Yipun as his second-year peer mentor. Yipun entrusts him with the formidable task of managing the Engineer Cute Boy page, a widely popular online platform. Despite his reluctance, Arm performs admirably as the page's administrator. In response to many fan requests, he uploads a photo of third-year civil engineering student Arc, unaware of the prohibition against doing so. Not knowing the admin's identity, Arc sends a harsh message demanding the photo's deletion. Detesting Arc's rudeness, he develops a dislike for Arc before learning that Arc is his third-year mentor. Despite his reservations, Arm finds himself interacting with Arc with some frequency, for mentorship and otherwise. What Arm doesn't know is that he's been let into Arc's inner circle because Arc was smitten with him at first sight. On his first day of university, disaster strikes Gun hard. Hapless as he is, Gun manages to break a bathroom faucet. Fortunately, a classmate comes to his rescue. Amidst the chaos, however, Gun doesn't get a look at his saviour's face, just catching a glimpse of their shoes. Eventually, he tracks the shoes to Faifa and expresses his gratitude. As they get to know each other, Gun realises it was actually Yotha, Faifa's older Irish twin who he should be thanking.

Jun Yi is a Rota Commander of Singapore Civil Defence Force. He leads a team of firefighters and paramedics to protect and save lives and property. Team members Xuen Wen and Shu Min noticed Jayden, who used to be Jun Yi’s best buddy, treats Jun Yi coldly. As they try to uncover the reason, they also become the love interest of Jun Yi and Jayden.

Seul-Ki (Lee Joo-Young) was an underground hiphop artist, but she now works as a music teacher at an elementary school. Her days are nondescript and boring. One day, Yoo-Bin (Yura) begins working as a contract English teacher at the same school.

Based on the same-titled novel by Raymond Chandler, the drama is set in Tokyo, in the 50's. Harada Tamotsu was suspected of murdering his wife, the actress Harada Shizuka. He then fled to Taiwan and had apparently committed suicide over there. However, Tamotsu’s friend Masuzawa Banji, who works as a private detective, has doubts about Tamotsu’s death, but the incident is hushed up by Harada Heizo, a powerful media mogul. Soon after, Masuzawa is pulled into another case involving the neighbors of the Harada family, a drunk novelist Kamiido Joji. His investigations lead him to a publishing company editor, Haneoka, and to the sister of the murdered Shizuka, Takamura Yoshino. Most but not least, he is introduced to Joji's beautiful wife, Aiko, who seems to be the key to both the cases.

The story is about the romance between a female doctor and a young student during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Continuing the first season, Like a Flowing River II follows the story of Song Yun Hui, Lei Dong Bao, and Yang Xun as they take part in China’s economic reform from the 1980s to the 1990s. Song Yun Hui has been promoted as the youngest deputy leader in Donghai Chemical. Liang Si Zhong’s father discovers this and intervenes, dealing a huge blow to Yang Xun’s career. As Yang Xun falls to the lowest point in his life, he finds comfort in someone close to him.
