A love story interwoven between Sakuraba Isumi, a short, baby-faced university student who is a great cook, and Amasawa Kyosuke, a tall, sincere police officer with a natural, easygoing charm. Twenty-year-old Isumi is mistaken for a minor and nearly gets taken into custody by Amasawa. Later, Isumi runs into Amasawa again at the convenience store where he works part-time. From then on, every time they meet, Amasawa asks for recommendations for late-night snacks. Concerned about Amasawa's eating habits, Isumi offers, "How about I come over and cook for you?" There is an old, but special hospital in the Kabukicho district of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Because of the surrounding entertainment district, the hospital receives people that are different than the average Japanese person. The patients that visit the hospital include homeless people, foreign residents, hosts, and sex workers. One day, a mysterious woman named Nishi Freeman Yoko appears at the hospital. She is a doctor with a U.S. citizenship and military medical experience from the U.S. She begins to work at the hospital and becomes a presence that brightens up everything around her. Meanwhile, Takamine Toru is a beauty dermatologist, but he studies anesthesia at his uncle’s hospital where Nishi Freeman Yoko begins to work. Takamine Toru dreams of remodeling his uncle's hospital and opening a cosmetic surgery hospital, but, after he meets he meets Nishi Freeman Yoko, his life changes.

The key to this is the female classmates that Edamatsu Shino fell in love with in middle school. While reminiscing about his memories with them, he approaches the truth behind the "true author." This is the story of God bringing two unlikely people from different parts of the world together. Plapol, a half Korean-half Thai man who grew up in Korea his whole life but chose to escape to Thailand sees his new step-mother as just another gold digger after his dad's wealth. He pretty much thinks that of all women because his mother disappeared from his life since divorcing his dad when he was young. With hatred for his step-mother, Plapol decided to go to Thailand to find his mother.

While in Thailand, Plapol goes to a bar and meets a young woman named Pantawan, a sexy singer who's popular among the men there. He views her in the same light as the other women he has come across in his life. However, Pantawan is not that type of woman and doesn't take insult from anyone especially from a misogynistic man like him. The two always get in a fight but eventually they came to an understanding and fell in love. But after love blossomed, all is not rosy for Plapol and Pantawan because of one truth that gets revealed: Pantawan's mother is Plapol's new step-mother.
