Hakuro's father died when he was a child allowing his mother to re-marry into the wealthy Yagami family. Although Hakuro was also welcomed, he struggles to feel a part of this family. His younger half-brother, who possesses the same blood as him, has fared much better. After the death of his mother, Hakuro dropped the Yagami surname and parted ways with the family.

Hakuro, now a veterinarian, has a strong sense of justice, is sincere and has a weakness for beautiful women. One day, he is approached by such a woman, claiming she is the wife of his half-brother. Mizuki is a university student. Her friend dies in front of her. Meanwhile, Haruo’s younger brother dies. Mizuki and Haruo begin to investigate together. They learn that Eiko holds a key to the mystery. Soon, Eiko's eyeballs rupture and she dies by a heart attack. Before she dies, she mentions the word "Shirai-san.”

Rintaro works as a cameraman. He goes back to his hometown for his father's funeral. While preparing for his father's funeral, Rintaro's mother Akiko cancels the bento meal order that they were to serve at the funeral. Akiko tells Rintaro and her daughter Miyako that she will prepare the food herself. Rintaro and Miyako did not like the idea, but they can't do anything about it. When it's time to eat at the funeral, Rintaro, Miyako and other relatives are embarrassed at the table, because there isn't anything there. Akiko then tells them that cooking by herself at her husband's funeral was on his will. The first meal is then served, which is fried eggs. Rintaro realizes the fried eggs tastes just like what his father made for them.

Yoko (Atsuko Maeda) is a reporter for a TV variety program. She visits the country of Uzbekistan. Through meeting people there and experiencing the country's culture, she grows as a person.

Movie is co-produced by Japan and Uzbekistan to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
