Due to family circumstances, high school student Miko Sonoda is forced to live at her uncle's boarding house. However, before she can arrive there, Miko is already met with a bad omen: while trying to find the place, she suspects that someone is following her! When her uncle comes to her rescue, the assumed stalker happens to be one of his tenants, leaving Miko embarrassed on her first day.

Miko learns that she will be living with five unique adults, including the accused man. Additionally, it turns out that he is Jun Matsunaga, a 29-year-old designer who seems to lose his temper easily. Having made such a humiliating first impression, Miko believes that only a miserable life awaits her. But in the presence of Jun, she comes to realize that living with adults is not so difficult after all—and there may even be enough room for romance.

To pursue her dream of doing pet related work, she moves to Tokyo and begins to work at a pet salon. Unfortunately, the pet salon goes bankrupt. Bailiff Obara Itsuki carries out his work at the pet salon and becomes impressed with Yoshino Hikari. Obara Itsuki is not comfortable around dogs, but all the animals seem to like Yoshino Hikari. Due to Obara Itsuki, Yoshino Hikari begins to work as a bailiff assistant and teams up with Obara Itsuki.

Meanwhile, Kurihashi Yusuke is a clerk at the bailiffs’ office. He used to work at a bank and wants to become a lawyer. While working at the bailiffs’ office, Kurihashi Yusuke learns about the law. He develops unexpected feelings for Yoshino Hikari.

Inexperienced in the ways of the world and naive, Akira starts to learn about the harshness of living in the nightlife and begins to change.

Ooejo agricultural high school is located in Hokkaido. Most students are from families involved in agriculture and their dreams are to continue working in agriculture. Meanwhile, Yuugo, who graduated from a prestigious middle school, applied to the Ooejo Agricultural High School just because the school has a dormitory. Yuugo, who grew up in the city, finds himself in an unfamiliar environment at Ooejo Agricultural High School, surrounded by nature and animals. Yuugo is also the only one who doesn't know what type of career he wants to pursue. Yuugo becomes impatient. He goes through struggles everyday, but he he also gets to know the other students and rural life in general. He begins to grow as a person.

Masayoshi Hayakawa (Joe Odagiri) was once a popular member of rock band "Out of Justice," but after the breakup of the band 13 years ago Masayoshi Hayakawa's life has become a mess. One day, Masayoshi Hayakawa meets two young girls, and a young boy, all in middle school, and learns that he is the father of the girls. He begins to take care of the girls and boy, but has to hide their existence from his management office, who are just looking for an excuse to drop him from his contract. Through the children, Masayoshi Hayakawa is able to grow as a person and mature.
