In the first chapter, "The Case of the Funakoshi Couple", Momoko is a serious housewife who continues to devote herself to her sadist husband and former boss, Takahiro, who treats her like a housekeeper.

Chapter 2 focuses on "The Case of the Tamagawa Couple" in which Anzu is a career woman struggling with fertility issues. Her husband is Naoki, a narcissistic, no-good husband.

Chapter 3, "The Case of the Hokuto Couple", tells the story of Aki, a mother whose family and uncooperative husband forcefully impose the idea that women should take care of all the house duties and childcare.

The Mitarai family are wealthy and they have run a hospital for generations. One day, their home burns down in a fire. 13 years later, Murata Anzu, from a housekeeper agency, is hired by Mitarai Makiko. She is the second wife of Mitarai Osamu. Murata Anzu soon begins to work at the Mitarai's home as a housekeeper. She has a secret purpose to work in their home.

Set in Japan in the 1990s, there's one rising band called LANDS, that is starting to find success amidst a flood of other bands. Asako and Miharu are two Tokyo high school students. When Miharu gives Asako her favorite indie rock band; a LANDS CD, she becomes an overnight fan and sets her heart on the talented guitarist Yukiya. When they go to see them in concert, they sneak their way into the backstage area and Asako gets acquainted with some of the band's members. Natsu, the vocalist, is immediately attracted to Asako and begins bringing her along to the band's practice sessions. Though Asako enjoys it, she proves to be a distraction to the other band members and is soon ejected from the session by Yukari, their manager. But Natsu is determined to keep her around, pulling strings to make Yukari and Asako to become friends, and eventually, helping Asako to become LANDS co-manager. LANDS was formed among friends, but as the band begins to climb the ladder towards major stardom, they get in touch with the dark side of the music industry, discord surfaces, inevitable frictions emerge, and unrequited love strains their friendship, threatening to pull their bonds apart.

A comedy drama set at a cineplex in a rural city and it features the people working there. Mizusawa Kenta is the general manager of the cineplex while Nakazuka Kaori is a manager who is transferred to the cineplex from the parent company.

Detective Mochizuki Akira (Kitano Kii), who was kidnapped as a child, still goes for regular counselling sessions at the recommendation of Tachibana Kyoka (Yoshida Yo), a physician of the police hospital. One day, a creepy doll addressed to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is delivered. The same scar from a burn that Mochizuki’s kidnapper inflicted on her is on the doll’s arm. It is accompanied by a message (in kanji) “I wish for a reunion/resumption”. Does this mean the kidnapper from 20 years ago wants to meet her? Or is this a proclamation that kidnappings will resume? Mochizuki visits her former boss, Yamaji Tetsuo (Terajima Susumu), who also rescued her, in order to ask about the details of the kidnapping case 20 years ago which she has been repressing. The only thing she remembers is the wrist watch that the criminal wore. But at that moment, Mochizuki is notified of the kidnapping of a 9-year-old girl on her mobile phone. Furthermore the same case keeps happening. On the other hand, Yamaji is investigating the dead body of the secretary of a Diet lawmaker, which was discovered within his jurisdiction. Although it is clearly considered a murder, the investigation is called off because of the orders of the head of the First Investigative Division, Kokubo Yuji (Abe Sadao), and treated as a suicide. Feeling suspicious about this, Yamaji secretly asks medical examiner, Mikami Kaoru (Kato Masaya), to run a check. Mikami reluctantly accepts. He contacts a mysterious man (Yoshida Kotaro) and makes some disturbing move. Mochizuki tells her boss, the director Asano Yoshinori (Nakamura Shunsuke), about the doll as well as the connection between the rash of simultaneous kidnappings this time and the case 20 years ago, but he does not pay attention. However, Kariya Masaru (Aoyagi Sho), who belongs to the Second Special Investigation Fourth Section, offers to assist her. The two of them start to investigate similar cases in the past without Asano’s permission, but are astonished that all the investigation records at that time have been deleted from the police database. Moreover, the next morning the investigation task force is notified of the signals from the mobile phone of the missing girl, and Mochizuki and Kariya race to the scene but… As the case enters a new phase, Mochizuki starts to worry about what she should do when she confronts the criminal who kidnapped her 20 years ago. Yukihara Natsumi (Shinohara Ryoko) appears in before Mochizuki. Meanwhile, Umekawa Naoko (Kinami Haruka), whom the police has identified as a person related to the case, comes.

2nd year high school student Kodaka Hasegawa (Koji Seto) has transferred to his new school about a month ago, but he still hasn't made any friends. Kodaka Hasegawa was born from a Japanese father and a British mother. Because of his appearance, people think Kodaka Hasegawa is a troubled kid. One day, Kodaka Hasegawa sees classmate Yozora Mikazuki (Kie Kitano) pleasantly talking to herself. Kodaka Hasegawa talks with her about how to make friends. To make friends, Yozora Mikazuki decides to make the Neighbor's Club and Kodaka is forced to enroll in the club. Soon other students begin to enroll in the Neighbor's Club.

Kitano plays a professional cleaner who solves cases and "cleans" hearts at the office building she works in.

Kishi Minetaro is a skilled and serious-minded plastic surgeon. He looks down on doctors earning money through cosmetic surgeries as well as on women asking for such medical procedures. However, having to repay his father's debt, Minetaro chooses lucrative work at a clinic specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery.

The clinic is full of beautiful women, including the director Yukawa Mari, who is well known for her skills in breast reconstruction, a highly-trusted doctor Ichii Mutsumi, and a cheerful nurse Kishitani Aoi. But most of them have already had some work done to their faces, and they strongly believe that “faces are for lives.”

Various types of patients visit this clinic. As Minetaro needs to keep this job to continue paying off the debt, he has no choice but to respond to the patients' selfish requests, such as, “I need my previous face back because my husband suspects that I may cheat on him now that I have a surgically-altered, young-looking face,” or “I want to change my face and look different from my twin sister.” But their wishes makes him wonder...If they change their appearances, will their futures become brighter? Will their worries disappear?

“Beauty” is the keyword set in this human drama, depicting the true feelings of women through the eyes of a surgeon who isn't attuned to reading a woman's mind.

A series of short stories explore the connection of love between dogs and people.

Takenouchi plays an aquarium employee named Kengo, who seems ordinary at first glance but actually possesses a secret that he would sacrifice everything in order to protect. Meanwhile, Ueto plays Risa, a young woman working in the sex trade in order to pay off her brother's debt, though her situation has led her to contemplate suicide. These two characters, both full of despair, meet each other and end up entering a contract marriage purely for its benefits. However, as they overcome various troubles, their relationship begins turning into true love.

A young couple start dating, but their happy days are interrupted by a single fact: she is planning to apply for a local university but he is not. The girl pleads with her boyfriend not to go away and he starts to think over the priorities in his life.

A private high school by the sea... All of the senior students devote themselves only to their studies for college entrance exams from the end of the summer. One day, an unconventional teacher gets posted at this high academia-oriented school. His name is Sakurai Sakutaro. His background is a mystery. Nobody gets what he's talking about. He's pushy and bold. The students are reluctant to open up to him who sticks his nose into their private affairs. But Sakutaro keep trying to help them overcome their problems He also encourages and guides them, and they eventually develop a bond of trust. "Live in the moment which exists only now"... His message gradually gets through to his students.

Shida Mirai, the young actress of Jyoou no Kyoushitsu fame, plays an average junior high school student who becomes pregnant with her lover's child. The drama will show her gradually maturing as the circumstances around her change.
