Miyama is a young man with a mysterious special ability. His special ability allows him to see the thoughts of other people. With his power, he heals people who suffers from their own worries or traumas. Miyama lives peacefully with his girlfriend Shiori and her daughter Bibi. His girlfriend works as a nurse. One day, Miyama begins to have a strange feeling. This is due to Kusaka, who graduated from the same high school. Kusaka is now a musician living in Tokyo. To learn more, Miyama attends Kusaka's concert and meets him there. Kusaka tells Miyama something about Miyama and his ex-girlfriend Riko.

30-year-old Kakioka Tetsuro returns home for the first time in 10 years to save his family’s traditional inn Niji no Ya after he hears that his father has been hospitalized. But he is lost for words when he sees that it has completely changed. The dignity and service of the inn, which boasts a 100-year heritage, has totally vanished. It has transformed into a haunt where employees who are not easy to deal with linger around. There is Terakado Lucy Kazuko, a flamenco dancer who says a stream of offensive things; Kageshima Shunsaku, a germaphobe manager who hates hot springs; Asatsuki Momoyo, the head waitress who is a single mother devoted to her son Ringoro; Ringoro, a boyish employee who loves his mother and unicycle; Uno Kanata, a chef who has a UNO addiction; and Umekoshi Hifuji, an old-timer who has clung on to the inn for 40 years. Not knowing that such formidable enemies are waiting for him, Tetsuro is told to leave when he arrives at the inn. Despite his attempts to enter using various means, he bounces off the impregnable defences and breaks down crying at the entrance, and a mysterious big man shows up. Will Tetsuro be able to enter the inn and will the day come when the employees will accept him?

He discovers a cassette tape among his late father's possessions. He plays the cassette tape and hears his voice from his childhood days.

28-year-old Oshima Nagi works for a home appliance manufacturer in Tokyo. She conforms to her surroundings as she constantly gauges people’s moods. Because of that, her goal is to pass each day without incident. However, as a result of reading too much into situations and pushing herself too hard, she collapses from hyperventilation. One day, Nagi’s boyfriend says something that breaks her heart. This prompts her to reexamine her life, and she makes the decision to change it. She resigns from her company, cancels the contract for the apartment she is living in and also stops communicating with everyone including her boyfriend. She plans to reset her life in order to be happy and let her naturally curly hair, which she has a hang-up about, grow out as is.

A story-a-week episodic medical mystery that treats the theme of reality changing when faced with imminent death. Mystery and exhilarating human drama unfold against the backdrop of the “unnatural death institute”, or “UDI”. For example, the body of a young man is brought into the UDI lab one day; his cause of death attributed to ischemic heart disease in which blood fails to be conveyed to the heart. But the victim’s parents are puzzled by the freak nature of their son’s death and turn to medical coroner Mikoto, to find out why. Together with her lab technician partner, Yuko Shoji, and rookie medical recorder, Rokuro, they examine the body for a possible drug poisoning and then learn that another female colleague of the deceased man has just died suddenly.

University student Izumi is contacted by her drama club advisor in high school, Hayama, who wants her to participate in the graduation performance for a younger club member. A series of grotesque and brutal murders happens on rainy nights, all of them supposedly done by a man wearing a frog mask. Hana (Kobayashi Satomi), who had been living in Tokyo, starts life in the countryside with her friend Toki (Ichikawa Mikako) and Toki’s daughter Toshi (Sasaki Haruka), an elementary school student. It is a life that they are unaccustomed to. Hana is a writer and goes to Tokyo occasionally for work, but realises anew the merits of the life she has just begun in the countryside. She also brings her troubled nephew Akira (Ito Seiya) who has just graduated from junior high school. The two women and two children are helped in their new makeshift family life by the supportive couple Gen (Mitsuishi Ken) and Shiori (Takahashi Hitomi), who live nearby and give advice in various ways such as how to tend the fields and raise livestock. Little by little, they get used to the daily work. Toki’s natural ability to make things also becomes essential to their lives. In the middle of this, a new family member, Tom the cat, arrives. Kept to get rid of rats, the mischievous black and white feline twists the humans around a little and breathes new life into their lives.

Sakuragi Ippo (Mukai Osamu) is a contract staff of the human resource rental company ‘Yujou Monogatari’ which dispatches “friends, significant others and families” to lonely customers in Tokyo. His occupation involves spending his days covering the loneliness and emotional scars of others. Ippo is good looking and also popular with clients. However, he has absolutely no intention to have a family of his own although he is over 30. The reason for this is his memory of being abandoned by his beloved father, Takeshi (Nagatsuka Kyozo) when he was a child. Takeshi suddenly left home 20 years ago. Ippo’s mother, Taiko (Tanaka Yuko), now lives alone in the family home by the seaside of the Miura Peninsula. Ippo has a younger sister, Honoka (Murakawa Eri), who is a bus tour guide. But they not even know each other’s contact information although they are both in Tokyo. Despite Taiko’s frustration at her children who will not even come back for New Year, she firmly watches over the house and acts as if her long-lost husband and children will come home anytime. One day, Taiko receives a phone call from Honoka who says, “I want you to meet the other party’s family because I’m getting married”. At the same moment, Ippo is masquerading as a family member of the elderly Murakoshi Kotoko (Kusamura Reiko), a regular ‘Yujou Monogatari’ client who lives alone. A “job” falls into his lap. He goes back home to the seaside town where his mother is waiting. Then his father unexpectedly turns up after being out of touch for 20 years … …

The film has little plot to speak of, but is instead divided into three short episodes, each of which opens with a man desperately running away before being trapped in a dead end, where something out-of-the-ordinary occurs. The episodes include a musical number, a Mexican stand-off and a police pursuit.

34-year-old Motoko, an employee at a credit union, is stunned when she learns her best friend and co-worker, Mariko, has embezzled 300 million yen and disappeared. Motoko, still un-married, lives at home with her parents and has no future plans or goals. Tired of her monotonous, mundane lifestyle, she decides to move out and live on her own. She happens upon a beautiful old geshuku, or lodging house, called "Happiness Sancha." The building is surrounded by lush vegetable and flower gardens, and is nestled right on the riverbank. There are only 2 remaining tenants; Natsuko, a college professor who has lived there since she herself was in college, and Kizuna, an erotic manga artist whose work doesn't sell much. The manager, Yuka, is desperate to take on more boarders, which is perfect timing for Motoko. This simple drama examines the life of four totally different women brought together under one roof, and follows them on their own searches for happiness at "Happiness Sancha."

It is April at Kokubunkan Public High School which is known for being good at both studies and sports. Aoyagi Haruka, the rookie form teacher of Class 3D, swells with hope. However, the assistant form teacher is Takakura Yuko, the biology teacher with a poor reputation in school. Furthermore, the transfer student Toda Toshio suddenly accuses the class prefect Mochizuki Ryohei and others of bad deeds. There is a lot to sort out for the new school term. One day, Class 3D’s Yamagishi Rio is instructed by her boyfriend, Tatsuya, to collect the email addresses of her friends. Tatsuya attends a first rate university and has also passed the bar exam. He belongs to the “winners”, but is in truth a peddler who sells unregulated herbs. In order to keep her relationship with Tatsuya going, Rio caters to his demands even though she knows is it wrong. Before long, there is a spam email that starts the rumour of Rio offering email addresses and encouraging unregulated herbs. An inspection of Rio’s bag is carried out without warning. Rio seeks Haruka’s help and Haruka promises to keep it a secret from the school. However, Yuko points out that Rio is a mere tool of the peddler. In addition, there is a call about the collapse of the students of Class 3D after smoking the unregulated herbs. In an attempt to save an embattled Rio, Haruka asks Yuko for help. But Yuko coldly says that she will save Rio in exchange for Haruka’s first paycheck. Yuko, the classics teacher Uchida Sumire and art teacher Fujii Aya wear different faces from daytime. They are “black teachers” who solve problems in return for large sums of money.

Set in Tokyo, actress Touko leaves the filming set of her latest project. She then comes across three people by random chance. She gives a ride to a man named Nagano whom she has never met before. At a small theatre, Kouko runs into Kikuchi - a former screenwriter who now works in the small theatre. Lastly, Touko meets Yasuko at the zoo. Yasuko is a woman studying for her college entrance exam and applying for a job at the zoo.

Rikako of the twelfth grade repeated play at night with her close Miki every day. One day she meets (and becomes infatuated with) Tomoaki Fujii, who's rumoured to be the Don Juan of her school and even impregnated a girl before getting an abortion in his father's hospital. This doesn't bother Rikako one bit, as she too sleeps around. But Tomoaki, knowing Rikako's true intentions, shoves her aside. Rikako later finds out that Tomoaki is quitting school to move to Okinawa, and she finally attempts to understand him. From then on, they form a close bond.
