Cha Yoon Hee is a successful TV drama producer, who has been afraid of having in-laws, specifically a mother-in-law. Because of this, Yoon Hee has decided to look for a guy who isn't closely connected to his family, and if she couldn't find such a guy, she was planning on staying single.

Finally, Yoon Hee meets Terry, a doctor with a sweet personality who has no recollections of his real parents and was adopted by a couple in America as a young child. Yoon Hee's marriage life seems all set. Ki Tae, described as Korea's first entertainer. Ki Tae debuted at an American military base stage and worked in the show business during the 1960s. Ki Tae is the son of the richest man in Soonyang. He works at a cinema, which is one of several businesses owned by his father, but he is more interested in having fun than work. Ki Tae is just a troublemaker to his father. One day his father checks his account book and finds that some numbers are missing. Ki Tae explains that he invested 10,000,000 won on making a movie to show in the cinema on Korean Thanksgiving Day. Sang Man attempts to commit suicide, but he keeps failing every time. In one of his suicidal attempts, he overdoses by medicine and his heart stops. However, he is transported to the hospital and is saved. When he wakes up, he starts seeing ghosts. He visits a shaman to make those ghosts leave him, but he is told that the ghosts will not leave and they will not let him commit suicide either. Sang Man learns that if he helps the ghosts fulfil their unrealized dreams, he would get them to leave him alone and he then can commit suicide. Meanwhile, Sang Man meets a nurse Jung Yun Soo at the hospital and quickly falls in love. But the ghosts start taking over Sang Man's body.

He makes his living selling the most famous toasts in his village in front of his sister school, that way being able to "keep an eye on her".

"My Girl and I" features the well-known plot of an ill-fated couple. Su-ho (Cha Tae-hyeon) is a plain high school boy, and Su-eun (Song Hye-kyo) is a bright and beautiful girl in the same school. For some unknown reason, Su-eun has a crush on the boy, and for equally mysterious reasons she rescues Su-ho in the sea (though he doesn't know who actually saved him). In the process, Su-eun loses her pager. When she discloses the relationship with Su-ho at school, despite envy and disbelief from other classmates, she asks Su-ho to buy her a pager so that they can communicate with each other through voice messages - a secret communication channel since So-eun's parents are quite strict. The way the couple develops affection is bearable, helped by images of a beautiful seaside village and equally enchanting coastlines. Supporting characters like Su-ho's grandfather (Lee Soon-jae) jazz up the otherwise too simplified storyline.

This film is about eight individuals facing the most brilliant separations in their lives. The passionate firefighter, 30 years old, tries to propose to his lover but every time he misses the chance. In the meantime, she becomes anxious whenever she hears a siren. Suk Hyeon intends to break up with her jobless lover, Ha Seok, and he begins an agency that helps other lovers to break up. Ju Yeong is mad at her son's troubles in school, but she realizes that she has little time to spend with him. Su Eun, with a hearing impairment and a burn on her face, falls in her first love but she doesn't have the courage to come out in his presence.

Sun Hwa, class valedictorian, is an ordinary girl. One day, a handsome boy, Hyung Jun, is transferred to her class as a teacher's assistant. Sun Wha falls hopelessly in love with him. As class representative and teacher's assistant, they quickly become intimate. As graduation approaches, Sun Hwa proposes to Hyung Jun. Hyung Jun declines, considering their differences. What's more, a beautiful fellow teacher, Jang Mi, has been pursing Hyung Jun as well, becoming Sun Hwa's rival. Sun Hwa has only her father to back her in the fight for her true love, Hyung Jun.
