Somewhere in Seoul, Jung Won runs a small shabby photo studio. A humble shack passed down from his widower father, the studio is a space where Jung Won goes about with his daily routine of dealing with fussy customers, enlarging photos of class heartthrobs for the neighbourhood kids and photographing pictures to place on funeral altars. For Jung Won, life seems to be a series of peaceful events, but in reality, his time on earth is too limited for comfort. Barely in his mid-30's but perhaps too aware of the meaning of death, Jung Won accepts his fate despite the subtle gestures of concern coming from his old father and younger sister.

Life goes on as usual until, one day, he meets Da Rim, who works at the Traffic Control Division of the local district office and who is a regular customer at the studio. Her daily visits to develop snapshots of parking violations and her somewhat bold attempts to capture his attention stirs a feeling inside Jung Won with which he deals in anticipation. As his health gradually deteriorates, Jung Won is faced with the painful duty of bidding farewell to family, friends, to the studio and Darim.

Mrs. Hong's family, launches a new business of setting up a kimchi manufacturing company after putting an end to their crime-related dirty business. The new business is a huge success due to Mrs. Hong's talent in food, and her three sons and their wives help her to write a new chapter for their family history, learning what an ordinary man's life is like. But the Hongs meet a new crisis when former prosecutor Bong, imprisoned for manipulating evidences in the second installment, is released and prepares for a revenge on the Hongs, who largely contributed to his conviction.

Bong, along with the help of another criminal gang come up with an idea to pay back the Hongs. He poisons the products from Hong's brand which causes the family to be on the verge of going out of business. But as Bong's simple plot succeeds, the Hongs easily tackle the crisis in the end. And to fill the empty space in the flimsy story, much of the film is devoted to scenes of recollection of each character's past.

Tomoya Kishida (Hayato Ichihara) is working as a staffer in a television studio when he hears about the death of his close friend, Aoi Sato (Juri Ueno). This sparks his recollection of the events in life they shared from meeting at a record store, shooting a short film as part of their university film club, to saying their last goodbyes. Though in love with each other, neither had the courage to confess their feelings before it was too late.

This love comedy is based on the play of the same name, both of which are directed by Kokami Shoji, who heads the Third Stage Theatre Company. A female playwright who has fallen into a heavy slump presents an unreasonable demand to a forgettable TV producer. Its three-level structure (reality, a play-within-a-play, and a play-within-a-play-within-a-play) is unique. Mayumi (Fukada Kyoko) is a popular playwright who receives an assignment to write the script for a special TV drama but she can't get any words down on the page. When pressed by a mediocre producer named Mukai (Shiina Kippei), she gives him an ultimatum: If he wants the script, he'll have to go out with her.

Korean auteur director Hong Sang-soo creates a cryptic romance shot beautifully in Black & White. The story captures a love triangle-like relationship between a filmmaker, his enigmatic young female assistant, and his friend is told twice, with the second version retelling their affair in a different light. Soo-jung (Lee Eun-ju) is a Cable TV writer who is working with Young-soo (Mun Seong-kun), the producer of the same team. He goes with her to an art exhibition held by his former junior student, Jae-hoon (Jeong Bo-seok). Jae-hoon is fascinated by Soo-jung, and wants to date her. They hit it off, and begin dating. But when they're about to have sex, Soo-jung confesses she is still a virgin. Jae-hoon is turned off by that, and their relationship is ruined. Jae-hoon, who still loves her, decides to make a second attempt, when the two come across each other at a party. But will Soo-jung be so forgiving? The film captured several awards including Grand Bell's Best New Actress Award for Lee Eun-ju, who later would tragically commit suicide at a tender age of 24 while at the height of her blossoming career.

Ah Yeong who graduated with child studies major becomes the babysitter for Yeong Chae who is raising a six-month-old child by herself.
