In the early days of the Republic, legendary martial artist Ye Ruzhou suffers a severe injury, losing her memory and winding up in the impoverished alley of Minfu Lane. Yokai are major figures of Japanese folklore, spirits that occupy virtually everything in the world around us. Some, such as the turtle-like Kappa, are relatively well known, but there are hundreds of others, maybe even thousands. They are the spiritual element of everything in the world around us, and as such they deserve to be treated with respect. But humanity isn't much good at respect. We consume, destroy, wear out and discard with no thought to anything but ourselves, a situation very distressing to the yokai, so distressing that the villainous Kato - accompanied by his deadly assistant Agi, played by Battle Royale and Kill Bill's Chiaki Kuriyama - has concocted an extreme response. Kato is gathering up yokai of all sorts, preying upon the harmless and the weak, and forcibly fusing them with discarded metallic junk to create vicious killing machines that he plans to unleash on humanity. Different from the previous movies, this film focuses on the relationship between Misu Arata and Shingyouji Kanemitsu. Started from their 1st meeting when Shingyouji was taken the test to enter in Shidou Gakuen as a junior high student and felt in love with Misu at the first sight, and two years later in the present time. The appearance of the legendary senpai Sagara Takahiro became a problem between them since Misu has always admired Sagara. Takumi, Gii, and Akaike want to help Misu and Shingyouji in this matter. On the other side, there's also a little side-story of Takabayashi and his boyfriend Yoshizawa.

The road to achieving a happy ending is a little too rough for two guys Kartik and Aman. While Aman's family tries hard to battle his love for Kartik, Kartik isn't prepared to step back until he marries Aman.
