Reiko is a rich heiress to an industrial and financial business conglomerate, but she chose to work as a detective. Yoon Yeong Hwa, once a top, national news anchor, gets demoted to radio news. One day, a call comes in during his radio show threatening to blow up Mapo Bridge. While it is brushed off as a prank call, the bridge ends up getting blown to pieces just 10 minutes later. To get his career back on track, Yoon tries to grab an exclusive live broadcast. The terrorist reveals he is one of the construction workers of Mapo Bridge and demands the President’s apology for his coworkers who died on the job. However, the government dismisses the demands, and the terrorist strikes again. While efforts to convince both the government and the terrorist go awry, Yoon realizes there is a bomb rigged on him and falls in sheer terror.

In her palpably personal debut film, Chinese filmmaker Zheng Lu Xinyuan follows her 22-year-old protagonist as she returns to Hangzhou, where she was born, for the New Year's celebration. She arranges to meet old friends, makes some new ones and visits her parents, with whom she is mostly on friendly terms. It's like she doesn't really fit in anywhere. Mu Zi is living in limbo: like the apartment, she has stopped, caught between past and future.

Zheng Lu, who shot her film in black-and-white, underlines Mu Zi's alienation through directorial decisions that are at times daring. She combines handheld documentary footage, in which Mu Zi interviews people around her, with more distant camerawork. As a child of separated parents, born at the time of the one child policy and having grown up in a China where everything is changing at breakneck speed, Zheng Lu has made a melancholy, topical film about her generation and the society in which they are growing up. At the same time, it is a universal story about love, relationships, the impossibility of keeping these going and the loneliness this causes.

Five minutes before a live broadcast, there is a tip-off call from someone who says he's going to be murdered to the anchor of the broadcasting station, Se Ra. Se Ra tries to consider it a prank call but feels disturbed. Her mother, So Young, tells her that it's a chance to become a real anchor. Se Ra heads to the informant's house and witnesses Mi So and her daughter's body. After that day, the image of dead Mi So begins to appear in front of Se Ra.

At the scene of the incident, she encounters In Ho, Mi So's psychiatrist. Se Ra's suspicions about him also deepen...

But then he realizes that his false statement brands an innocent young man as the murderer. To get the investigation back on track, Wan Joo seeks out the person who asked him to lie, only to discover that she isn’t who she said she was.
