Three police officers are forced to go on the run when they get tangled in the death of a youth, a few days before the election.

Lee Cheon Ah, a woman who committed suicide following her daughter's death, but instead doesn't die. Hong Jong Hyun is a mysterious man who wants to commit suicide and meets Cheon Ah at a suicide site.

Kiyotaka Sato (Shuhei Nomura) is a university student. He is sociable, but he looks like he doesn't have interest in those around him. During his summer vacation, Kiyotaka Sato plans to get his driver's license to impress schoolmate Matsuda (Yukino Kishii). At this time, a yakuza boss (Ken Mitsuishi) orders Todoroki (Kento Kaku) to get his driver’s license. Todoroki doesn't show his feelings outwardly. Later, Todoroki drives a car without a driver’s license and he hits Kiyotaka Sato. To cover up the accident, Kiyotaka Sato is placed in a car and taken to away. He arrives at an unofficial driving school. The driving school is run by the Uehara family. There, Kiyotaka Sato and Todoroki learn that they graduated from the same high school. They spend their summer at the driving school.

Xiao Xian’s life is right on track. She has a steady job at an upscale wedding planning company, a cute apartment, and most importantly, a loving boyfriend of 7 years. Toire no Hanako san is a very scary and effective adaptation of the Japanese manga of the same name. Although many horror/suspense cliches are trotted out: the ouija board (although the Japanese version, kokkuri), whispered voices, an animated doll, and a group of kids that look like they stepped right out of a Japanese version of 90210 and always go into that darkened room when they shouldn't, the movie worked. It was an original touch how the opening narration explaining the events was played over candid shots of the young students with black strips superimposed over their eyes so as to "protect" their identities from being linked to the events that transpire. The quick glimpses of "Hanako san" (we never really see the wholly reanimated version)build tension throughout the film a la the original Alien, and the climactic scenes in the crematorium were very unsettling. It's possible this film might one day come to the attention of someone in the US film industry and be re-tooled and adapted for a US audience.

Mi Na, In Seong’s ex-girlfriend, is now living in Japan, so when she decides to come to Korea to gather some news material, she makes contact with him and they arrange to go to Gangreung together. Yoon Joo is kept in the dark about this. In the country cottage in Gangreung, In Seong tries to win Mi Na back, but she doesn’t want him and so she leaves. Now alone in the cottage, In Seong asks Yoon Joo to come to Gangreung to join him. However, when he sees Mi Na and Yoon Joo walking out of Gangreung Bus Terminal together, he makes up one excuse after another in an attempt to keep the two women and him apart. "Two Rooms, Two Nights " comically exposes a man trapped by his own petard for playing both sides.
