Best buddies Min Jae, Dong Wan and Chang Seop share all the common problems of high school seniors. They struggle against their parents and other peers to establish their own identities, fall for girls, eat, drink, and stress about college entrance exams and what school they'll get into.

Min Jae's father is a commercial pilot who expects his son to follow in his footsteps. However, not only does Min Jae NOT share his father's ambition, his grades and test scores don't qualify him to get into an aviation program. Meanwhile, his neighbour and crush, Soo Jin, has decided she wants to become a veterinarian, despite the fact she's too afraid of animals to even touch a puppy! Sadly, her family takes very little interest in her future until the night her mother overhears another girl confessing her love to Soo Jin. Mom decides what her daughter REALLY needs is to take ballet classes at the local community center. "It will be good for your posture, and help you look more like a real girl", she says.

Unfortunately for ballet instructor Mrs. Yang, though, her class is on the verge of being cancelled due to lack of attendance. Her only enthusiastic students are a waiter at the neighbourhood Chinese restaurant and the video store owner. Even the middle-aged housewives who joined are quitting after a few weeks because they aren't losing the weight they'd expected to. The lives of all of these characters collide one night when Mrs. Yang catches Min Jae driving drunk, without a license, and in his father's borrowed car. She blackmails him and his friends into taking ballet, thereby saving her class from being cancelled.

Ciara (Claudine Barretto) is a senior physical therapist who works for a rehabilitation center in the United States. She has devoted her entire life to her younger sister Julia (Anne Curtis) who was left in her care after the untimely demise of their parents. After 8 years of separation, Ciara and Julia reunite when the latter acquires her student visa. Storm (Richard Gutierrez), Julia's boyfriend who earns a living as a freelance photographer, joins Julia despite the lack of a definite plan. In a desperate move for Storm to gain immigrant status, Julia asks Storm to enter into an arranged marriage with Ciara, who is already an American citizen. As Storm struggles to find his place in a foreign land, Julia works hard to chase after her own dream of finishing school, causing the two of them to drift apart. A brutal crime has repercussions seven years later.

The story centers on Ayame and Tsubaki, who are researchers at a lab in the biology department of T University. Ayame is a “returnee,” someone who lived abroad for a while and then returned to Japan. He does things at his own pace and is a “dinosaur otaku,” and Tsubaki is his older colleague who is an enthusiast of studying the skeletons of birds and dinosaurs. The story follows their slightly strange romantic relationship.

Xiao-lun, who is struck dead by lightning, has lost memories of his life. While Xiao-lun is working as god of love, persons with red strings, with his partner Pinky to reincarnate as a human being, Xiao-lun runs into Xiaomi, who was his lover during his life, and recalls his past. Although Xiaomi cannot see him anymore, Xiao-lun couldn’t stop hovering around her, but at the same time he also realizes that he has to find someone else to bond her red string to protect her in an uncertain danger.

Set in the late Ming Dynasty, Brotherhood of Blades tells of three close friends (Chang Chen, Wang Qianyuan, and Li Dongxue) who serve as Jinyiwei guards.
