Aruo, the dragon girl from the East China Sea, is determined to find her beloved, and comes to the mortal Wang Sheng at all costs. Rising idol Elanne Kong stars as Ji, one of six youngsters who occupy the eponymous 6th Floor Rear Flat, the very same flat that housed the now moved-on youngsters from the original Truth or Dare. Her roommates include wannabe singer Kay (Tian Yuan of Butterfly) plus four guys, each played by one half of a singing duo. There's Bonbon (Donald Tong of I Love U Boyz), Pang (Siu Yeah-Jim, also of I Love U Boyz), 6 Wing (played by 6 Wing, of the Edison Chen-backed hip hop group Fama), and finally C Kwan (played by, duh, C Kwan, also of Fama). Together, the six hold flat parties and lounge around, all the while pursuing unrealistic dreams or phoning in their jobs. The six do express the desire to open a business together, but a suitable idea eludes them. That is, until the grandmother of Kay's boyfriend passes on. Kay is required to attend the funeral, which is handled in typical Hong Kong-style, i.e., it's exceptionally long and somber, and features performances by Taoist priests. The other five friends attend to support Kay, but become bored, and take to chatting on Facebook via their mobile phones. That's when the idea hits them: why not start a "happy funeral business" where people can celebrate the departed person's life rather than mourn their death? Sadly, the group doesn't have the capital to start up such a biz, but they fortuitously run into the owner of a prosperous funeral business, played by Eric Tsang. He agrees to front them $10 million HK dollars if they can draw up a feasible business plan, complete with expenses, projected revenue, and probably helpful pie charts. Can these youngsters get their act together, learn the mysteries of Microsoft Office, and get the $10 million to fund their start-up

Otomichi Takako (Koike Eiko) is a strong-minded detective. She joins in the investigation of the murder of a fortune teller’s entire family as a member of its mobile investigation unit. Although Takako is a female, she is the type of person who likes to win and will rush to a crime scene immediately when there is a case so that she will be assigned to the mobile investigation unit which conducts the initial investigations. But Hoshino Hideo (Abe Tsuyoshi), the detective partnered with her, is known for being a skirt chaser. When Takako curtly rejects his advances, she is abruptly treated indifferently. He also reports an important clue that she had found as his own achievement. This makes Takako shake with anger. To make matters worse, Hoshino orders Takako to act alone in a violation of rules. She has no choice but to do legwork on her own. As chance would have it, Takako locates the new address of men who are believed to be a gang of criminals and heads to the house. During the investigation, Nakata Kaeko (Nishida Naomi), a housewife who was a victim in a previous bag-snatching case, appears. Takako knows her. Kaeko is going through a hard time. She has to care for her elderly father, but is also the sole breadwinner instead of her unemployed husband, juggling two jobs as a nurse and part-time employee at a bar while raising two children. Unable to leave Kaeko alone after Kaeko talks about the emptiness she feels every day, Takako follows her. But she gets drugged with sleeping pills and kidnapped by the hidden criminal … … Meanwhile, former fellow detective Takizawa Tamotsu (Takahashi Katsumi) is unable to contact Takako and worries about her. He presses Hoshino for an answer but Hoshino does not confess the truth. He finally pins down an apartment from a small lead and breaks in with Hirajima Maki (Shinoda Mariko). However, they discover the body of the criminal who has died in cold blood down there. Takizawa tries to find new clues, but Takako’s own life is in danger with each passing moment

China at the beginning of the eighties: sixteen-year-old Xiao-Yun lives in a small town on the river. When her teacher finds out she is pregnant, she and her boyfriend Wang-Feng are expelled from school. Wang-Feng leaves the town after persuading his sister to look after Yun and then have the baby given up for adoption. The film then returns to Yun’s story ten years after she has given birth and been told that the baby has died. She is still living in her native town and working as a singer. She is having an affair with a married man, but her only real companion is young Xiao-Yong, an inquisitive and impish little boy. He soon becomes her devoted friend, servant and “little brother”. When after a while Yun finds out who Xiao-Yong is, she has to make an agonising decision... Realistic in style, the film is not just a story of the friendship between a grown woman and a child, but an exploration of the influence of family and environment on the development of a young life.
