In this drama Special, Ito Kana is working at a TV station applying sound effects for a comedy team when she gets a note from her Aunt that Kana's Mother has passed away in her hometown of Okuhida in Gifu Prefecture. Kana is reluctant to return to Okuhida since she had some bad childhood memories from there, but feels she has no choice but to attend the funeral. At the same time, back in Okuhida, Morita Shinichi, who was a grade school classmate of Kana's, has been hoping to escape from the Inn his parent's run and go to America, but things aren't going his way. It may take the unlikely intervention of local oddball Kotani Yoshio and his crazy dream of utilizing the discontinued railroad tracks in Okuhida that will solve all their problems...

Chiaki Shinichi wins he prestigious Platini International Music Competition and becomes the new orchestra conductor for the Le Marlet Orchestra. Chiaki then goes with Frank to observe the orchestra and is astonished by their poor performance. It seems due to lack of funding the orchestra lost many of its members & the interest of its audience. Meanwhile, Nodame prepares for a graduation exam at her music school. She is happy that Chiaki has finally become a conductor and becomes even more enthusiastic when Chiaki asks her to play Ravel's "Bolero" with the orchestra. But, her excitement soon turns to disappointment when Son Rui takes her part in the "Bolero" performance. Nodame tries to hide her disappointment from Chiaki. The performance itself turns out to be a bomb. The audience laughs while Chiaki tries to do his best. Chiaki thinks back to his first practice with the S Orchestra and his teacher Franz Strezemann. Nodame attempts to comfort Chiaki after the performance, with Nodame and Chiaki eventually deciding that they will make the next one a success. Chiaki holds an audition for new members in his orchestra, while Nodame takes care of the promotional activities. Finally, the performance is set to begin. The concert hall is packed thanks to Nodame's efforts. Nodame is excited about the performance, but also has an uneasy feeling as well. International narcotics officer CHOI , has been demoted by his superior officer MA to local duties after partaking in bribery in the line of work. He’s assigned to a death scene investigation by YAN where the deceased, YUNG’s body had laid undiscovered for eight years, and only recently discovered by maintenance workers during the renovation of an old block of flat. CHOI looks into CHAO as the prime suspect, and linking it to adultery with YUNG’s widow PING as an accomplice. The case soon comes under scrutiny by a high-ranking court prosecutor SANTOS. Under his inquiries, the investigator becomes the investigated, and CHOI’s actions fall under suspicion as all manner of inconsistencies come to light from his statement. YUNG was a man of many vices, with few crimes left untouched by his hand – rape, drug smuggling, blackmail and working alongside notorious gangster FAI WAI.

House of Flying Daggers is a 2004 wuxia film directed by Zhang Yimou. It differs from other wuxia films in that it is more of a love story than a straight martial arts film. The use of strong colours is again a signature of Zhang Yimou's work. Several scenes in a bamboo forest completely fill the screen with green. Near the end of the film, a fight scene is set in a blizzard. The actors and blood are greatly highlighted on a whiteout background. Another scene uses bright yellow as a colour theme. The costumes, props, and decorations were taken almost entirely from Chinese paintings of the period, adding authenticity to the look of the film[citation needed].

Michelle Yeoh and her police colleagues thwarting an airline hijacking. Identified as heroes by the news media, they become the targets of vengeance by a group of military veterans responsible for the failed hijack. The gang then proceeds to attack the police officers as individuals, resulting in the death of relatives and colleagues.
