Due to her mother died in a car accident when she was young and the lack of motor function, she has physical defects which causes her inferiority and loneliness. Until one day she got a car crash, the door of youth gradually opened, which changes her life.

Mi-Soo (Han Hyo-Joo) is a doctor with a fiery spirit. Unfortunately, her fiery spirit gets the best of her one day at work. Because of Mi-Soo's failure to diagnose the woman's illness, the woman is now hospitalized and near death. Her husband sues the hospital and Mi-Soo is advised to find a character witness.Kang-Il (Ko Soo) is a dedicated firefighter, who doesn't blink when it comes to saving someone else's life. Emotionally, Kang-Il still carries heavy grief over the death of his own wife. Outside of work, Kang-Il rarely socializes with others. Firefighter Kang-Il was also at the hospital when the wife, who was misdiagnosed by Mi-Soo, became gravely ill. His boss ordered Kang-Il to follow the husband and to make sure he doesn't do anything rash. The husband eventually confronts Kang-Il and assaults him.Later, Mi-Soo learns of the incident between firefighter Kang-Il and the husband. She concocts a plan to cozy up to the firefighter, in hopes of enlisting him in her legal defense. Little does she know, she isn't dealing with an ordinary fellow and she just may have found her true love.

During the Manchurian-ruled Qing Dynasty, Emperor Yong Zheng established a secret assassination squad known as the Guillotines to eliminate all who opposed him. 1. The Eve

The opening segment is about an engineer, Lin Zhiyuan, racing against time to perfect an automatic flag-raising mechanism before the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949.

2. Passing by

The second story sees a scientist, Gao Yuan, played by Zhang Yi, work on China's first atom bomb who had to bid farewell forever to his lover in the 1960s.

3. The Champion

The third story is about how a little Shanghai lad named Dong Dong helped his neighbors watch TV for the China women's national volleyball team's Olympic gold medal win in 1984.

4. Going Home

The fourth story is about a Chinese executive delegation and local policemen preparing for the return of Hong Kong from British rule to China in 1997. The 12-second silence between the British and Chinese anthems during the Hong Kong handover ceremony is also reflected in this part.

5. Hello Beijing

The fifth story is about a taxi driver who gives a ticket to the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics to a boy from the Sichuan earthquake zone though it was intended to be a birthday gift to his aloof son.

6. The Guiding Star

The sixth story is about a pair of homeless brothers who witness the landing of the capsule of the Shenzhou 11 manned spacecraft on November 18, 2016, a moment of national pride that touched them.

7. One for All

It follows the story of a top female fighter jet pilot Lü Xiaoran who helps her fellow pilots accomplish a smooth aerial performance at the Military Parade of the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Second Sino-Japanese War in 2015.

A homicidal case in a coastal town forces a man to go on the run. Yang Jiadong (Jing Boran) is a rookie policeman who has just arrived in town. He chances upon a case involving Tang Yujie (Zhang Songwen), the director of the construction committee who died after falling off a building. Yang Jiadong launches an investigation that gets him dismissed from service. He goes to Hong Kong to escape the men that are after his life where he meets Xiao Nuo (Sandra Ma), the daughter of the victim. As Xiao Nuo helps him unravel the truth, Yang Jiadong doesn't realize that he's fallen into a love trap.
