In an attempt to win back the public's interest, has-been Hong Kong film star Lau Wai-chi makes a comeback film with a major director. To prepare for his role as a peasant farmer in the 1960s, he travels to the mainland China countryside to experience rural life there, but his arrogance triggers a series of farces.

A gum-popping student wearing a very short uniform and a weird hair-do is looking for 'zzang', the school boss. She turns out to be the new teacher, Choi Eun-soo, who was trying to get a grasp of situation in the classroom. Eun-soo has been sacked from numerous schools due to her eccentricity and too-strong dedication to teaching. She finally meets her match in Yeong-hee, the troublemaker in her class. Unable to deal with Yeong-hee who lives to rebel, Eun-soo finally decides to call her parents.

At the karaoke bar, the women hear the song "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple and decide to form a rock band!

"Little Black Dress" depicts the friendships, jealousies, hopes and failures of four 24-year-old girls. The girls first met as first year students in college. Hye-Ji (Park Han-Byul) is busy playing around and living the life of a socialite. One day, she is scouted by a talent agency. She then becomes the face for a high profile ad campaign and shoots to stardom. Her other 3 friends become jealous of her. Soo-Jin (Cha Ye-Ryeon) holds the most jealousy over Hye-Ji's sudden fame, because she has tried unsuccessfully to become an actress. Soo-Jin has failed many different auditions. Compounding her problems, her father's business has gone bankrupt. Min-Hee (Yoo In-Na) has rich parents, but her parents got divorced. Min-Hee now wants to study abroad, but her poor English skills holds her back.

When To-Il was 5 years old, her mother remarried. Due to that, they left Daegu and began to live in Seoul. To-Il is now 21-years-old and a university student. She dates 19-year-old Ho-Hoon, who is her student for private tutoring. She gets pregnant by him and hides her pregnancy for five months. When she passes the stage for getting an abortion, To-Il tells her mother and her stepfather that she is pregnant. She tells them that is she having her baby and she will marry Ho-Hoon. Her mother and stepfather are not pleased with the situation. To-Il decides to find her birth father.
