As a veterinarian, Vivienne knows exactly what to do when a pet is brought into her clinic. Using her skill and expertise, she can help better the lives of the pets she meets on a daily basis; but when it comes to the people who own them, things can get a little more complicated. For instance, Zha is a loyal golden retriever whose owner, Jiang Nan, struggles to find a way to help her best friend, Chen Yue Yun, after recently losing his sight. Having been best friends since childhood, Jiang Nan refuses to let him go through this difficult time alone, but she struggles to find a way to help. Meanwhile, an abandoned kitten has recently been rescued by Luo Hua and his germ-fearing neighbor An Ying. While the cat seems to be in perfect health, the same can’t be said for the relationship between its rescuers.

And Ade, a hard-working delivery man who relies on a street-savvy terrier to help him get his deliveries made on time, finds his work suddenly in jeopardy when the dog is picked up as a stray. It's the wee hours at Wang Wang Supermarket, somewhere in northern China, where nerdy stockroom boy Li Junwei (new teen idol, singer Kimi Qiao) is on duty with -- and only has eyes for -- Tang Xiaolian (Lulu Li, "Xiu Xiu: The Sent-Down Girl"wink.gif. But the quiet soon lapses into chaos when balding, pop-eyed He Sanshui (Xu Zheng) comes in with two doofus heavies (Zhao Yingjun, Wang Dongfang) and demands to speak to the mart's boss lady, Wang Sufen (Yang Qing, not the helmer). Turns out the boss -- who's actually off gambling -- was responsible for He's inability to claim the prize on a winning lottery ticket, so he wants 9,500 yuan ($1,400) compensation. When Tang explains the boss isn't around, He & Co. tie Tang up and take over the joint, planning to sell goods until they reach that value. However, business is slow, and as a variety of characters come and go during the night, He turns more desperate. The arrivals of the boss lady and then a gun-toting robber (Zhang Jiayi) only make things worse.

Year 2000, in a province in the North, Anirut and Ram are young boys in Grade 3 who rarely talk to each other at school, have come to join the Boy Scout camp together for the last time in their lives. Entering this camp makes Anirut and Ram discover their identity upon which both of them must decide whether to keep this identity or let it pass over time.

A Singaporean auntie (“ajoomma” in Korean language) lives alone with her estranged son. Her only pleasure in life is to watch Korean TV series, clumsily imitating the dialogues. She and her son book a tour in Korea for holidays, but the son excuses himself for a job interview to cancel the trip. The auntie, who has never traveled abroad alone, musters up her courage – perhaps encouraged to do so by the hefty cancellation fee – to travel to Korea. Deluded by her dreams of a Korea like that shown in television dramas, the woman finds herself surprised if not shocked. Her journey begins to take a turn for the worse from the beginning: she finds herself lost, then involved in a violent incident. Will she be able to (re)discover her new self?
