Facing an unacceptable reality, a teacher is trying to reclaim relationships with his family, students and former friends. Reassessing his past, he contemplates how to go on with his life.

When the world is hit with a naturally occuring virus that spreads among all living things, humans begin to turn into insatiable zombies. In a blink, the world as we know it collapses. Furthermore, the few remaining survivors are unable to use the available food resources. They therefore develop a new crop to support themselves. Survivors depend on one profession, their only hope; someone in this profession must brave the dangers to send and recieve food and packages of necessities. These people are called Riders.

Saeba Ryo is a "sweeper" in the city of Tokyo. He works as a trouble shooter, cleaning the streets of vermin, and helping out desperate people. Sometimes he's a bodyguard, sometimes he's an assassin, whatever Ryo does he does it well. In fact, his only flaw is his hormones - he loves the ladies and sometimes turns into an idiot when he's near them. Thankfully he's got people like his partner Kaori Makimura to keep him in check.

Dino-kun (a green dinosaur puppet) wakes up and turns on Zyuranger on his TV in his cave. He wishes that the team would appear, but due to an accident the five Zyuranger become summoned into his cave. The Rangers discuss the Guardian Beasts, including the five they possess, Dragon Caesar and King Brachion, as well as short music videos to "Daizyujin no Uta" and "Dragon Caesar no Uta". Dino-Kun decides he wants to test out the power of the various Guardian Beasts, doing so with the main attacks of Dragon Caesar and Zyutei Daizyujin; he ultimately tries to do so with Ultimate Daizyunjin, but ends up shorting out his tracker due to the potential of the "God" being infinite. The Zyuranger are soon summoned to return to their battle with Bandora, using their Dino Bucklers to transform and leave Dino-Kun.

It is winter, the off-season for farming, and a matchmaking party is organised in Asahikawa. The girls, who have dressed up and gathered there from various parts of Hokkaido, are the successors of farming businesses. A significant other is crucial for succession and they are hunting for husbands. The group “Harapeko” has planned this party. Their leader is 29-year-old Hirose Natsumi (Maeda Aki), the only daughter of a farming family in the town of Kami Furano. She has been making a great effort as the successor of her father Yukio (Kariya Shunsuke). However, he does not recognise her attempts and is opposed to her following in his footsteps. Agriculture in Hokkaido is several orders of magnitude larger in scale than Honshu, so it is difficult to manage. He also considers her unsuitable because she has less physical strength than a young man and is not good at handling machinery. On the other hand, Natsumi’s good friend and the Harapeko’s sub-leader Sawaki Yuka (Serina) also stands at a crossroad in life. Should she pick farming or her boyfriend Imai Shota (Kokubo Toshihito)? Inheriting the family business is not an easy matter for the daughters of Hokkaido farming families. These girls venture into selling freshly harvested vegetables directly and nutrition education events with their energy. They even participate in the Tractor Bamba Race at Tokachi’s Sarabetsu Village and begin to realise what the possibilities of agriculture are to them. Will they be recognised as successors and also get husbands?

Horigai Sayo is 22-years-old and she will soon graduate from a university. She has already been working in a child welfare job.
