Facing an unacceptable reality, a teacher is trying to reclaim relationships with his family, students and former friends. Reassessing his past, he contemplates how to go on with his life.

When the world is hit with a naturally occuring virus that spreads among all living things, humans begin to turn into insatiable zombies. In a blink, the world as we know it collapses. Furthermore, the few remaining survivors are unable to use the available food resources. They therefore develop a new crop to support themselves. Survivors depend on one profession, their only hope; someone in this profession must brave the dangers to send and recieve food and packages of necessities. These people are called Riders.

Saeba Ryo is a "sweeper" in the city of Tokyo. He works as a trouble shooter, cleaning the streets of vermin, and helping out desperate people. Sometimes he's a bodyguard, sometimes he's an assassin, whatever Ryo does he does it well. In fact, his only flaw is his hormones - he loves the ladies and sometimes turns into an idiot when he's near them. Thankfully he's got people like his partner Kaori Makimura to keep him in check.

After suffering from serial paranormal events, a wealthy family living in LA summons a young rising shaman duo Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to save the newborn of the family. Once they arrive, Hwa Rim senses a dark shadow of their ancestor has latched on the family in a so-called 'Grave Calling'.

In order to exhume the grave and relieve the ancestor, Hwa Rim seeks help from top-notch geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun. A school teacher Do Kyung dies as he fails to save his student Ji Yong from drowning. After the two pass away, Do Kyung's wife Myung Ji and Ji Yong's sister Ji un are left alone in the world, having to cope with the loss of their loved ones. Myung Ji travels to Warsaw, Poland, to stay distanced from her harsh reality and meets an old friend to whom she hides her husband's death as if she is trying to reject the tragedy. While she is unable to let him go, Ji Eun is hospitalized as her health condition worsens. Lacking any enthusiasm for life, Ji Eun also struggles to recover. On the day of the Warsaw Uprising, where people commemorate the death of victims of their dark history, Myung Ji returns to her home in Korea, where a letter from Ji Eun is awaiting.

Detective Mochizuki Akira (Kitano Kii), who was kidnapped as a child, still goes for regular counselling sessions at the recommendation of Tachibana Kyoka (Yoshida Yo), a physician of the police hospital. One day, a creepy doll addressed to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is delivered. The same scar from a burn that Mochizuki’s kidnapper inflicted on her is on the doll’s arm. It is accompanied by a message (in kanji) “I wish for a reunion/resumption”. Does this mean the kidnapper from 20 years ago wants to meet her? Or is this a proclamation that kidnappings will resume? Mochizuki visits her former boss, Yamaji Tetsuo (Terajima Susumu), who also rescued her, in order to ask about the details of the kidnapping case 20 years ago which she has been repressing. The only thing she remembers is the wrist watch that the criminal wore. But at that moment, Mochizuki is notified of the kidnapping of a 9-year-old girl on her mobile phone. Furthermore the same case keeps happening. On the other hand, Yamaji is investigating the dead body of the secretary of a Diet lawmaker, which was discovered within his jurisdiction. Although it is clearly considered a murder, the investigation is called off because of the orders of the head of the First Investigative Division, Kokubo Yuji (Abe Sadao), and treated as a suicide. Feeling suspicious about this, Yamaji secretly asks medical examiner, Mikami Kaoru (Kato Masaya), to run a check. Mikami reluctantly accepts. He contacts a mysterious man (Yoshida Kotaro) and makes some disturbing move. Mochizuki tells her boss, the director Asano Yoshinori (Nakamura Shunsuke), about the doll as well as the connection between the rash of simultaneous kidnappings this time and the case 20 years ago, but he does not pay attention. However, Kariya Masaru (Aoyagi Sho), who belongs to the Second Special Investigation Fourth Section, offers to assist her. The two of them start to investigate similar cases in the past without Asano’s permission, but are astonished that all the investigation records at that time have been deleted from the police database. Moreover, the next morning the investigation task force is notified of the signals from the mobile phone of the missing girl, and Mochizuki and Kariya race to the scene but… As the case enters a new phase, Mochizuki starts to worry about what she should do when she confronts the criminal who kidnapped her 20 years ago. Yukihara Natsumi (Shinohara Ryoko) appears in before Mochizuki. Meanwhile, Umekawa Naoko (Kinami Haruka), whom the police has identified as a person related to the case, comes.

Indra and Ilya are on their way home to their home village for the funeral of Iskandar, their father. Indra is the biological son of Iskandar, who is an illegal racer who gambles and owes money to loan sharks who are hunting him. Meanwhile, Ilya is the adopted son who was given to Iskandar when he was passing through an old road 25 years ago. Ilya helped his father build his career and his conduct as a 'better' son among the two is the cause of Indra's estrangement from his family. However as they make their way to the village, they use an old road and gets transported into another world, filled with mystical creatures.

The film centers on Iwao Shishido, who at age forty suddenly leaves his rural village, but returns with a foreign bride during his father's funeral.

This is adapted by director Keisuke Yoshida from Hideki Arai’s 1990s manga series with the same title.

"Juliet's Choice" (By Hou Chi Jan)

Taiwan in the 1970s. Xiu Zhu is a printing worker with handicapped legs who gives up on love. Everything changes when she meets a university student, Luo Wei, who requests her factory to print a newspaper, where the content is critical with the views about social reform.
