After suffering from serial paranormal events, a wealthy family living in LA summons a young rising shaman duo Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to save the newborn of the family. Once they arrive, Hwa Rim senses a dark shadow of their ancestor has latched on the family in a so-called 'Grave Calling'.

In order to exhume the grave and relieve the ancestor, Hwa Rim seeks help from top-notch geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun. To their dismay, the four find the grave at a shady location in a remote village in Korea. Unaware of the consequences, the exhumation is carried out, unleashing a malevolent force buried underneath.

A young woman encounters a supernatural presence in her grandmother's home

Mrs. Hong's family, launches a new business of setting up a kimchi manufacturing company after putting an end to their crime-related dirty business. The new business is a huge success due to Mrs. Hong's talent in food, and her three sons and their wives help her to write a new chapter for their family history, learning what an ordinary man's life is like. But the Hongs meet a new crisis when former prosecutor Bong, imprisoned for manipulating evidences in the second installment, is released and prepares for a revenge on the Hongs, who largely contributed to his conviction.

Bong, along with the help of another criminal gang come up with an idea to pay back the Hongs. He poisons the products from Hong's brand which causes the family to be on the verge of going out of business. But as Bong's simple plot succeeds, the Hongs easily tackle the crisis in the end. And to fill the empty space in the flimsy story, much of the film is devoted to scenes of recollection of each character's past.

Picture book author Kwon Yoon-duk decides to join the 'Picture Books for Peace Planning Committee' with other authors from Korea, China and Japan to created a picture book on ‘comfort women’ to the Japanese colonial army. But as she proceeds, past wounds forgotten for years start to haunt her. Meanwhile Korean and Japanese authors start a heated debate over her sketch and the completion of the picture book seems to drift further out of reach.

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans.
