Aruo, the dragon girl from the East China Sea, is determined to find her beloved, and comes to the mortal Wang Sheng at all costs. However, the fox demon Xiaoman wants to get the most precious spiritual leaf from the dragon girl, and designs to break Wang Sheng's heart. Aruo has no choice but to use Lingye made up for Wang Sheng's heart, so the two women started a "heart-stealing" contest with Wang Sheng as the center.

The alliance of Jirocho and Nikichi must stand tall against all odds when the uncle of one of the Shimizu gang’s relatives is murdered and his wife abducted by a jilted suitor who belongs the Takei gang and the Shimizu gang searches far and wide for him. The action heats up when fire rips through a farmer’s home, breaking Jirocho’s orders to not harm the common folks.

The story is set in the Meiji period and revolves around the young daughter of a poor family in Yamagata Prefecture who’s sent away to work for a wealthy family to earn a living. The overarching theme of perseverance through hardships became a trademark of the Oshin character, which made the original series incredibly popular throughout Asia and throughout the world, reaching viewership numbers that have yet to be matched. The original drama spanned most of Oshin’s life, but the movie will focus on her childhood.
