On a pretty, placid little island in the Japanese countryside, Nishikita teaches physical education at the high school he himself attended. The man is hardly an agent of change. He knows his place in the order of things and is careful not to rock the boat, perhaps even a little too much. When he receives a call from a former classmate Takagi, announcing her return, a flash of emotion strikes him. Takagi was Nishikita's best friend and unrequited first love, who had suddenly moved to Paris 10 years earlier to study. At the time, Takagi was constantly teasing him to shake him out of his torpor, and he notices that her attitude hasn't changed in the slightest when they are reunited. In fact, while in France she has only improved in the art of the retort, and Nishikita is still as bad at it as ever. He'll have to get used to it, though, as the new teacher he'll have to train is none other than the beautiful Takagi.

A mysterious woman teams up with a man whose daughter was killed and who is now seeking revenge. Together they kidnap members of an organization and torture them to find out what really happened.

Two old college pals, Asai and Jiyong, make their annual pilgrimage up a mountain in the middle of winter in honor of their friend Sayuri who disappeared there 16 years earlier. However, Jiyong seriously injures his leg in the middle of a violent blizzard. Overcome by cold and pain, he asks Asai to let him die here and save his own life. First, though, he confesses to a horrible secret that has been eating away at him. He was the one who killed Sayuri that fateful day, out of jealousy. The problem, if there is one, is that Asai finds a cabin nearby that they hadn’t seen because of the blinding storm. Once inside, the murderer's confession takes on a whole new dimension, and let's just say that the elephant in the room is more of a mammoth. To say that it's going to be a long night would be an understatement.

The TV show pits regular men, who were renown street fighters back in their teenage days, to go up against professional MMA fighters. If the challenger can last a certain time against the professional fighter they make it into the finals and fight against one of their amateur peers. The winner gets $20,000. Lim Duk-Kyu (Hwang Jung-Min) runs a modest noodle restaurant. His wife passed away and he takes care of his teenage daughter Soo-Bin (Ji-Woo) alone. Producer Kyu-Min then visits Duk-Kyu's noodle restaurant and attempts to persuade Duk-Kyu to become a contestant on "Legendary Fighter". Lim Duk-Kyu isn't interested in fighting again and tells her no. A few days later, Lim Duk-Kyu goes to his mother-in-law's apartment for his wife's memorial service. There, he learns his daughter Soo-Bin beat up one of her classmates and her classmate is now hospitalized. Duk-Kyu goes to the hospital and apologizes to the girl and her father. He promises to pay for her hospital bills and give her additional compensation money. Now, Lim Duk-Kyu needs to make money and make it quick. He decides to participate in the TV show "Legendary Fighter". During his first bout, he knocks out the professional fighter, which is the first time that has ever occurred on the show. For his next fight, he awaits for his opponent in the ring. When the man walks in to the ring, Lim Duk-Kyu recognizes him immediately. His opponent is his friend Jae-Seok (Yoon Je-Moon) from his high school days. Meanwhile, Lee Sang-Hoon (Yu Jun-Sang) works as a manager for a corporation owned by his long time friend Jin-Ho (Jung Woong-In). Sang-Hoon then gets a phone call from Producer Kyu-Min, who tries to convince him to take part in the show.

Beijing Bicycle revolves around a seventeen-year-old boy Guei (Cui) from the countryside who came to Beijing to seek work. He finds a job with a courier company, which assigns him a brand-new bicycle. After it is stolen one day, the stubborn Guei goes on a search for his missing bicycle. At the other end of the city, Jian (Li) is a schoolboy who buys Guei's stolen bicycle from a second-hand market. When Guei's search brings the two boys together, more than the ownership of the bicycle is brought into question. The film explores the theme of youth as well as several social issues, including class, youth delinquency, theft, and rural-urban socio-economic divisions and change.

Two young adults, Mitsuru and his girlfriend Maki, kidnap a little girl and hold her for ransom to pay off a drug-related a debt. As they hide out at an abandoned school, they attempt to call the girl's parents only to find out from her parents she has been dead for a year. Mitsuru's friends also arrive, with ulterior motives of their own. Soon, members of the group are brutally killed by an unseen force. Is the mysterious little girl responsible, or is something far more sinister at work?
