Karube Chiyomi (Watanabe Eri) has bought a cemetery plot where cherry blossom trees stand. After she shelters Ino Yuko (Maya Kyoko), who has bought the neighbouring plot, to the bus stop with her umbrella, they become “cemetery friends”. One day, Chiyomi is at work cleaning a building when Yuko appears. The two of them have a meal together and completely hit it off, and Chiyomi even tells Yuko about her interest in watching plays. On a day off work, Chiyomi is relaxing at home when Yuko arrives. Chiyomi is surprised by her appearance. The coat Yuko is wearing, matches the one that Chiyomi had worn when they first met. Yuko then hands a red scarf that is the same as hers to Chiyomi, and invites her to watch a play, but … …

At the height of Korea's early modernization in the 1930's, LEE Hae-myung is proud to be the most modern boy in Seoul. He lives a high profile lifestyle partying in bars and clubs until one day he meets the girl of his dreams but she turns out to be someone completely different than what he expects.

Tun, a young photographer, and his girlfriend, Jane, were driving home after drinking with friends, when suddenly they crash into into a girl that was walking in the street. Panicking, Tun tells his girlfriend to run away. The next day, Tun discovers mysterious shadows in his photographs, and his girlfriend start seeing strange things in his house.

Naruse Uta is a "unique" 13-year-old child. She possessed the talent to read sheet music even before she could speak but has now come to the point where she hates playing the piano. Her father was also a piano virtuoso but mysteriously disappeared from her life at a young age. Because of her father's disappearance, Uta's mother had to move out of their posh home and into a far modest working-class neighbourhood. In this working-class neighbourhood, there is a local grocer. The grocer's son, Kikuna Oto, happens to be a budding musician but lacks the drive to truly succeed. That is until Uta Naruse comes into his life.

Osanai Kei enjoys a peaceful and happy life with his wife Osanai Kozue and daughter Osanai Ruri, but his wife and daughter die in an accident. Osanai Kei's life suddenly changes.

One day, a man named Misumi Akihiko visits Osanai Kei. Misumi Akihiko tells him that on the day Osanai Kozue and Osanai Ruri died, Osanai Ruri, who was a complete stranger to him, was coming to see him. Misumi Akihiko tells him about a woman named Masaki Ruri, who he once loved.

These people, who don't seem related, connect under the name of love.

As they hold an impromptu funeral ceremony for June outside of their high school Do-ki and June kiss for the first time. It's obvious to Do-ki that Chae-young still thinks of June even when they kiss. Two teenagers then approach with one having an uncanny resemblance to June. The four soon to be friends then go through an extended period of self discovery as they experiment with sex and drugs.
