Gu Chang leads to a tragic existence. Set in a garden, the "Wind's Telephone" is a white phone booth with a black telephone placed in it. The phone booth is not connected to any telephone lines or wires. People come here to talk to those that passed away or are missing. During Haru's journey, she meets various people.

Neri and her younger brother Jo make money by perpetrating fraud cases. One night, they happen to score hundreds of millions of yen. Since that time, they are chased by various nefarious people.

Deok Gu, a 7-year-old boy, lives with his little sister, Deok Hee, and his grandfather in a country village.
