Following up on the phenomenal success of his Love Letter and Swallowtail Butterfly, Shunji Iwai spins this sweet tale about a young lass' first steps in the bustle of the big city.

Uzuki Nireno (Takako Matsu) is leaving her rural home in the snowy north of Hokkaido for college in Western Tokyo. Her transition to big city life isn't easy; she muffed her self-introduction in class and she had an unfortunate incident in a movie theater with an overly solicitous pervert. In spite of this, she starts to feel settled after she unpacks and after she explores her neighborhood. She also befriends tough-talking Saeko (Rumi) who invites her to join the school's fishing club. Though she initially has no interest in the pursuit, she soon is practicing her cast in a parking lot as upper classmen lavish her with attention. Uzuki, however, is not interested. When she was in high school, she fell for a hunky classmate (Seiichi Tanabe) who just so happens to be working in a local bookshop. Will she summon the courage to say "hi?"

In 1965, Takeshi Kitano drops out of a university and enters the Asakusa France Za, which is a performance theater. He becomes an apprentice to Senzaburo Fukami, who is a legendary entertainer. Senzaburo Fukami demands that Takeshi Kitano keep the mindset of an entertainer, not only on stage but also in his daily life. Takeshi Kitano cultivates his dream of becoming an entertainer with other apprentices. Due to the popularity of TV, people attend the theater less and less, but Takeshi Kitano spends his youthful days with Senzaburo Fukami and other apprentices who are full of talent and unique personalities.

In a time of political and social unrest in 19th century Korea, an uncouth, self-taught painter explores his natural talent amidst the repressive world around him.

He can't control himself inside of him. Hidenori, a Japanese-Korean, hasn't seen his family in a few years. He doesn't want to go to school but just wander the streets. He always grins at a trifle. When he is caught stealing and he feels pain as his finger is cut off, he just smiles. He murmurs "Should I commit suicide?" in front of his dead sister. Yumi, an obsessive-compulsive girl, has a sticky finger. A boy who wanders the Sybuya. They join Hidenori's reckless plan by chance. They plan to stow away in order to show Korea to his sister, who has never seen the motherland. Three people who are out of this world and the dead go toward Hakata.

The Book of Ruin, which should have been sealed, is released along with the mysterious immortal swordsman, Bacht. Darkness overflows from the book, causing the real world and Wonder World to disappear. Touma Kamiyama, alongside members of the Sword of Logos, challenge Bacht to a decisive battle in order to stop this situation.

The first film in the omnibus, follows a kawaii model who finds herself tormented by zombie-like creatures in a haunted ryokan. The second film finds a young woman terrorized by something that looks like a giant blind red...thing, looking for eyeballs no less. The third film involves a haunted mirror and the fourth and final film involves killer dolls similar to Child's Play.

In the Korean thriller Phone, reporter Ji Won (Ha Ji Won, Sex is Zero) receives telephone threats after publishing facts about a sex scandal. When the oral threats turn into physical danger, Ji Won changes her residence with the help of a good friend (Ho Jeong). Later on, Ji Won also changes her telephone number to the end digits 6644, but from that moment on, strange things start to haunt her and her daughter. During her investigations into the distressing case, the reporter discovers startling facts. The last two owners of the phone number with the final digits 6644 either died or disappeared mysteriously

Agawa Kayo works as a probation officer and faces a heinous crime taking place.
