Kuei-mei, a poor girl from the mainland, relocates to Taiwan post-revolution and enters into a marriage of convenience with an alcoholic widower. In spite of being initially rejected by his children, she guides the family through decades of poverty and trauma to stability with unblinking, selfless perseverance. As Kuei-mei, Hui Sang Yang gives a phenomenal performance that expertly deconstructs the image of the ideal wife.

After long negotiations with the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, Sizuo Matsuki, who is the security chief of Civil Aviation Bureau, finally launched Japan's civil aviation. Komari Sano applies for the position of a cabin attendant.

Jung Hae's life is as monotonous as her job at the post office. Her apartment, which is not far from where she works, is filled with things she has bought through the home shopping network; only a stray cat waits to greet her each day. On Sunday afternoons, she sits on her veranda with her cat listening to children play below. In her life, this is probably the most peaceful time. Jung Hae's childhood memories include her mother with a pencil in one hand and a cigarette in the other, quietly drawing and writing. It is a memory still hard for her to handle, for her mother's sudden death left a deep scar. When it feels like only memories are taking over her life, she cannot hold back her tears. However, one day a love that moves her heart appears. Slowly, something starts growing once again in her heart. She is at last hopeful that she could be happy.

Angelica Lee (aka: Sinjie) stars as Mun, a twenty-something HK resident who's been blind since her youth. She becomes the recipient of a cornea transplant, which will finally give her sight and presumably a new lease on life. However, Mun needs to adjust to her new eyes so she's sent to handsome psychotherapist Wah (Lawrence Chou). He's charged with acquainting Mun with her newfound sight. It seems her body may know how the world works, but her vision can't connect the dots. The physical appearance of others surprises her, and she becomes alienated from her still-blind friends. And there's an even bigger problem. Yep, Mun sees dead people.  Â

Painter Yeong Soo's mother is in her death bed. He hears that his girlfriend Min Jeong got into a fight with a man while drinking. Yeong Soo and his girlfriend argue that night and Min Jeong leaves him telling him they should have some time apart. The next day, Yeong Soo looks for Min Jeong but she's nowhere to be found. In the neighborhood of Yeon Nam where he lives, he sees girls that are Min Jeong or girls that look like her, going around meeting men. Yeong Soo has to fight with himself that's actually fighting with the world and these Min Jeong's are looking for the perfect man that they have never met before. The day Yeong Soo and Min Jeong meet again, they stop fighting and they find it hard to believe.

Different desires of these lowlifes slowly gather around the money bag.

The destinies of hard-luck lowlifes slowly converge and come crashing down: Jung Man barely gets by working at a sauna and taking care of his sick mother until he finds a bag full of cash in the locker room; Tae Young is in trouble after his girlfriend runs away with the money he borrowed from a loan shark. Soon, a dead body mysteriously turns up; Mi Ran, caught between her husband’s violence and a dead-end job as a bar hostess, she finds a young lover Jin Tae, who offers to kill her husband… And now their dog-eat-dog game starts.
