Mashiro Shibutani and her family live in Imizu, Toyama Prefecture. With a minor mental disability (that doesn't effect her daily life), she spends her days by tending to her father’s bicycle store and taking care of her pet dog. One day, while visiting a shrine for her older brother's wedding, Mashiro meets photographer Keiichi Yui who came from Tokyo. She accidentally presses the shutter button on his camera, which he left with her for a short while. Keiichi is fascinated by the pictures which Mashiro took on accident. Because of this, they get closer.

Liu Xia and Qi Lian Shan jointly devote themselves to the cause of mental health public welfare, using their professional knowledge and skills to help those in need, and gradually grow closer in their cooperation, ultimately ending up together.

Returning home one night, Yayoi discovers her husband has gambled away all their savings and loses control of her temper. She strangles him to death.
