Koharu Fukuura works at city hall. She has ordinary days, where she isn't particularly happy or miserable. Overnight, her life completely changes. Her grandfather collapses, her father is arrested for driving while intoxicated, and her house burns down. She also witnesses her boyfriend having an affair with her colleague. She loses everything that night. Koharu Fukuura is now full of despair. At that time, she meets Doctor Daigo. He raises his 8-year-old daughter Hikari alone and he proposes to Koharu. He is like a prince to her. She accepts his proposal and they enjoy happy days together, but, one day, she commits a vicious crime.

Kida and Makoto have been friends since childhood. Later they befriend Yocchi, the new transfer student. Neither of them have parents, so they spend time with each other daily, essentially growing up together. An incident occurs when they are twenty and that tears their world apart. Years later, both boys are employed in the criminal underworld, with Kida as a negotiator and Makoto as a trading company’s CEO. It has now taken them ten years to get revenge on the world that changed their fates, so many years ago.

Songkrod and Auerkarn were a loving couple but then the bad guys killed Songkrod's family and kidnapped him. Auerkarn is sad that he’s gone. She's a doctor now but has not moved on from Songkrod. Songkrod returns after being trained and brainwashed by the bad guys, he identifies as Kim now. He came back to use magic to get revenge. When Auerkarn met Kim, she was confused because he looks like her former lover but he acts very differently. They slowly start to fall in love again.

It's the story of South Korea’s first trial by jury in 2008. It follows the case of a son brutally murdering his mother, with all factors seeming to point to a guilty ruling. However, the trial does not go as smoothly as expected. The eighth juror, young entrepreneur Kwon Nam Woo questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt. As a result, the judge calls for a new debate to establish a guilty or not guilty verdict.

Kim Joon Gyum is the presiding judge who leads the first civil participation of a criminal trial in South Korea.

The jury consists of 8 ordinary people with different ages and personality.

This group forms a microcosm of society, and the way in which they are swayed by the majority opinion provides further commentary on its current state.

Kwon Nam Woo stands in sharp contrast to this, sifting through investigation records and backing up his doubts on the case with determination. He repeatedly questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt and reminds judge Kim Joon Gyum of the importance of justice. Bit by bit, he breaks down the majority opinion by pushing for a not guilty verdict.

The jurors are ordinary people, but, after they become jurors, they seek out the truth of the case.

When tracking down the con man, Hee Soo meets another fraudster named Ji Sung who is also after the same man for a personal revenge. Realizing their mutual goals, they decide to team up, but with hidden motives. They then recruit other swindlers; Suk Dong, Choon Ja, and Chief Kim, to throw bait at Jang Doo Chil's right-hand man, Seung Gun.

Thus, Yeeo and his grandmother are the only humans that can speak to Naamrin. Since her fate brought them together, Naamrin believes that Yeeo is the only one that can help her.

Yoo-Jin is an employee at the Mujin Human Rights Center. On the first day at his new school, In-Ho meets the school's principal and director of administration. They are an identical twins. The director of administration asks for a bribe of 50 million WON ($50,000 USD) to work at their school. In-Ho's financial situation is already in dire circumstances. His daughter who is staying with his mother suffers from asthma. In-Ho's wife has passed away. In-Ho makes a phone call to his mother asking for the money. She delivers the 50 million WON by taking out the deposit money for their home. While teaching the hearing-impaired students, In-Ho feels something strange about the kid's distant appearances. On his way home, In-Ho notices one of his students Yoo-Ri sitting on the ledge of her dorm room window, which is several stories above ground. He rushes into the dorm building and makes it into Yoo-Ri's room to pull her away from the window. Yoo-Ri then leads In-Ho to a door down the hall and stops. In-Ho goes into the room and sees the superintendent of the dormitory beating a male student named Yeon-Doo. In-Ho is shocked by the brutality and eventually takes Yeon-Doo to the hospital. In-Ho also makes a phone call to Yoo-Jin, the lady from the huma rights center who bumped into him earlier, and asks her to come to the hospital. Soon, In-Ho and Yoo-Jin uncover unfathomable actions committed by the school's faculty against the students. Their work to break the children's silence is only beginning. Meanwhile, In-Ho feels his own pressures to stay silent as his new job already cost his family their home's deposit money and medical bills are piling up for his daughter.

A low level gangster in Hong Kong gains new respect after saving a boss's life in a gang fight. Despite his wife's death in this attack, he appears to be moving up in the Triad family until he discovers the other bosses are not looking out for him when he is double crossed and the gangster he previously hospitalized in the gang fight comes back for revenge. 

Detective Hwang (Sol Kyung-Gu) leads a specialized surveillance team in the police department. Yoon-Joo (Han Hyo-Joo) takes a test to join the team. She's tested on her observation skills and memorization. She passes her test and becomes the newest member of the surveillance team. While, Yoon-Joo takes her test, James (Jung Woo-Sung) and his crime group robs a bank. He stands on the rooftop of a nearby building and directs his team's movements. He doesn't tolerate any mistakes. As soon as Yoon-Joo joins the surveillance team, they are tasked to take down James' criminal group. The surveillance team immediately runs into trouble when they can't identify any of the robbers due to their masks and their efficiency in robbing the bank. Detective Hwang finds one man caught on CCTV near the bank. James gets a new order from a mysterious broker (Kim Byung-Ok) and once again completes a heist. While, the surveillance team goes after James, the mysterious broker also looks to take out James.
