Tomoko and Tomoko became step-sisters 23 years ago through the marriage of their respective mother and father. But when the younger Tomoko's mother died, she left and only returned 15 years later to attend the funeral of the older Tomoko's father. Finally together after all these years, the two step-sisters decide to move in together to preserve the little family they have left. However, they soon discover that, although they coincidentally have the same names, they now have very different personalities. What follows is a light comedy of their humorous bickering and prying, as well as a heartwarming drama of their search for a common bond.

    Forced out of his research group after conflicts with his colleagues, Ogawa Takanobu takes up an offer to teach at a girls' high school in Nara.
