King of Mask Singer is a South Korean singing competition program starting Celebrities. Each competition lasts for two episodes, with the singers competing one-on-one in three elimination rounds. They are given elaborate masks to wear in order to conceal their identity, thus removing factors such as popularity, career and age that could lead to prejudiced voting. In the first round, both contestants sing the same song, while in the second and third round they each sing a solo song. The winners of each pair are selected by the audience and panel of celebrities through instant live votes.

The identities of the singers are not revealed until they have been eliminated. The winner of the third round challenges the previous competition's Mask King, and is either eliminated or becomes the new Mask King.

Every week there will be a featured market from South Korea and within it, there are 3 types of food selected as its representatives. The cast and guest(s), as contestants, have to play games and win to be able to enjoy the food. There will be a dressing theme concept for the cast and guest(s) to follow for the filming of each episode. For episodes, 1–4, the program format is only 3 rounds of song dictation. From episode 5, the program format changed to 2 rounds of song dictation, with a Snack Time in between the dictation segments.

The cast members take various trips throughout South Korea, including many offshore islands, recommending various places that viewers can visit. While doing so, members also perform missions at a certain mealtime or point of the day to earn rewards (eg. foods that are famous in the region they visit) and to avoid punishments

Hundreds of aspiring hip-hop rappers, four teams, and only one winner. Rap producers The Quiett and Dok2, rapper and actor Yang Dong Gun, former 'SMTM' contestant Swings, rap genius San E, Tablo, and Masta Wu all serve as producers and mentors to aspiring and veteran hip-hop rappers. Each week, the contestants will go head-to-head and give everything they've got until only one remains.

The contestants include: dance/math prodigy and former reality TV contestant Yeom Da Hyun, Kim Nae Oh from Wanna One’s video “Beautiful,” hip hop specialist Jung Jae Woong, dance wunderkind Lee Hyun Jin, and model student Yoo Chae Young. With their multitute of talents, these kids are definitely not here to play games. In addition to their mothers’ “support,” the kids are coached by the biggest names in the industry. Kang Ta (H.O.T.) serves as MC and mentor to the contestants. Jang Jin Young (Black Beat, vocal trainer for EXO, Red Velvet and SHINee) works as the voice coach. Kim Tae Woo, dance trainer for EXO, SHINee’s Taemin and Super Junior’s Eun Hyuk), serves as the kids’ dance coach. With guest appearances from other idols and intensive sessions in SM Entertainment’s legendarily rigorous idol training program, the kids will soon realize that being an idol is hard work. And that’s even before they have to deal with their moms. Idol Moms is inspired by the American reality show “Dance Moms.”
