During the summer in the present day, Jeon Youn Ha runs a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Sung A.

In the early 2000's, Koo Sang Joon ran the same vocation cottage as Jeon Young Ha did years later. Koo Sang Joon and his family also lived there, but, during the summer, something happened at his vacation cottage and Koo Sang Joon lost everything because of that. At that time, Yoon Bo Min worked as a police officer at the nearest police substation from the vacation cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo Min is transferred to the same police substation where she worked before and she begins to work there as the chief. She enjoys solving things and begins to observe Jeon Young Ha closely.

Former police officer Terahara Ken (Omori Nao) works for a private security firm. He is suddenly summoned back to Japan while on duty in Taiwan and ordered to protect Matsuoka Takanori (Takeda Tetsuya), the secretary general of the Democratic Party. On the other hand, public prosecutor Sakurai Satoko (Kuroki Hitomi), who was transferred to the Kochi District Public Prosecutors Office for a previous whistle-blowing incident, returns to the Special Investigation Department of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office in a reshuffle by her former superior for the purpose of indicting a big shot. In the midst of this, a branch office of Tokyo’s Aoba Shinkin Bank is blown up and the bank’s armoured truck is attacked. The bomber who has set the events in motion is a young man called Aoyagi Tomoya (Seto Koji). This incident creates a link between Terahara, Matsuoka, Satoko and Ishikawa Aki (Tanaka Rena) who works at Aoba Shinkin Bank. After that, this link unexpectedly starts to extend to include Takashima Shoichi (Tamayama Tetsuji), a Hokkaido junior high school teacher; Kawamoto Rie (Mimura), a Tokyo nurse; Sawada Tsutomu (Tanaka Naoki), an Osaka apparel company employee; and Sean (Ayano Go), an IT company president.

Fujio Hanaoka, Seiji Kirihara, Shinya Oochi, Masaya Oochi, Madoka Ishii, and Arata Maekawa are close friends who grew up together. While celebrating Seiji's birthday, the group unearths their ten-year-old time capsule, and create a new one, containing penned letters to their future selves, for ten years on. Amasawa Yoichiro was abandoned by his parents and has been wandering the world alone. Some trouble leads to his encounter with a shy university student Suzuki Nita who hopes to become an artist. A penniless and homeless Yoichiro makes Nita buy him curry on the grounds that he saved him, and mutters briefly about his family. Kiyokawa Kaoruko who runs Kiyokawa Realty has been keeping the ashes of Yoichiro’s late father because she used to be the caretaker of his apartment. There appears to be some significant reason why Yoichiro tries out curry every day.
