Yano Katsuhiko, a weather forecaster who is divorced and is introduced by his friend, Taguchi to popular radio DJ Yukawa Sachi aka "Love Specialist". Yano recalled seeing pictures of her before but the person he actually saw is Sachi's friend, Yujin.

Revolves around two detectives as they investigate and solve together brutal crimes that take place in Ikebukuro. Ryuichi Kanzaki is a detective. He is guided by strong morals and he wants to believe in the good aspects of people. He is assigned to work in the criminal investigation division at the Ikebukuro Police Station. During his first day of work there, he is unable to find his assigned partner, veteran detective Kenji Kuroki. His partner, Kenji Kuroki, actually took leave from the station without giving them notice. The chief of the criminal investigation division orders Ryuichi Kanzaki to find Kenji Kuroki. There is also a secret between Ryuichi Kanzaki and Kenji Kuroki. They are actually stepbrothers.

Shishido Joichiro (Hirano Kinari) cannot tolerate unreasonable things and bullying. After moving from one job to another because of his tendency to lose his temper, he immediately decides to join the private security firm Tokyo Fists at the invitation of its company president Wanibuchi Tsuyoshi (Murakami Jun). The firm is made up of a group of tough bodyguards who preserve peace on the streets at night. However, Shishido has to go through training first. If he is deemed appropriate, he will then be hired as an employee. He meets the capable but very overbearing Hachino Shinya (Yoon Hak), who will be his direct superior during the training. Although Shishido feels overwhelmed by the employees who show up, he slowly starts to grow up little by little.

Serina Hirakawa (Riisa Naka) is a deputy director at a public prosecutor's office. Her father (Yukijiro Hotaru) was a police officer, but killed. Kentaro was charged for murdering her father. Serina's father was investigating Kentaro and his involvement in a string of thefts inside of cars. Kentaro was found guilty for the murder. Serina Hirakawa admired Prosecutor Ryoji Tajima (Goro Kishitani) who extracted a confession from Kentaro.

Now, Serina works for Prosecutor Ryoji. One day, Kentaro insists he is innocent of the murder charge and kills himself in prison.

Several days later, Prosecutor Ryoji meets Attorney Kuromiya (Jiro Sato). The attorney defended Kentaro in the murder case. Attorney Kuromiya tells Prosecutor Ryoji about the real killer in the murder case. Soon, Attorney Kuromiya is found dead. Doubts about the death of Serina's father is aroused. Prosecutor Ryoji is suspected in the murder of Attorney Kuromiya. Serina is dumbfounded by the recent chain of events. She soon begins to investigate the two murder cases: her father's murder and the death of Attorney Kuromiya.

She is messy and disorganized, takes baths several days apart and loves to eat, sometimes stealing her friend’s lunchbox when it is filled with delicacies. Shinichi Chiaki, is Momogaoka’s top student. Born into a musical family, he is talented in piano and violin and has secret ambitions to become a conductor. An arrogant multi-lingual perfectionist who once lived abroad in the music capitals of the world as a young boy, he feels mired in Japan because of a childhood phobia. They meet by accident. Nodame quickly falls in love, but it takes much longer for Chiaki to even begin to appreciate Nodame’s unusual qualities. Their relationship causes them both to develop and grow. Because of Nodame, Chiaki got the opportunity to lead a student orchestra and begins to have a broader appreciation of people's musical abilities. Because of Chiaki, Nodame faces her fears and enters a piano competition. Opportunities open up as both begin taking risks, stretching themselves far more than they ever thought possible.

Cheerful high school girl Ha-na (Lim Ju-eun) is always the first to come out and protect her introverted twin sister Doo-na (Park Ji-yeon), who has a slight limp.
