Suea Phaya's spirit (Tiger King) is a secret of the tribal people. When summoned, the moon would turn red and the person who inherited Suea Phaya's spirit would turn into a tiger to protect the forest and wild animals. Traditionally, the spirit was passed down from father to son. However, the previous chief was stabbed by an enchanted dagger that was fatal to Suea Phaya. He was unable to pass Suea Phaya's spirit to his son (Nontha), as he was not yet born. To prevent Suea Phaya from dying altogether, the previous chief passed it down to Sama, the son of the local doctor who was attending his wound.

For 20 years, Sama and the tribal people were unaware that Suea Phaya was in Sama. When Nontha was of age, a ceremony revealed this. This becomes the first time that Suea Phaya lived within an outsider. Unable to change this, the tribal people and Sama work together to protect the secret from outsiders.

Sama grew up and took on his father's practice, becoming the new local doctor. But, due to the duties of being Suea Phaya, he ended up living a lonely life with many despairs. Parichart is a teacher from the city who has come to teach at the local school. Sama and Parichart soon falls in love but their love jeopardizes the secret and the safety of everyone involved.

The drama will use an original story that differs from the manga, revolving around 12 people who obtain a “future diary,” which allows them write down “predictions” of the future that will come true. However, they are all part of a game of survival, in which they must use their diaries to try to kill each other and be the last one remaining, earning a place on the “God’s seat.”

Okada plays Hoshino Arata, a lazy college student who doesn’t believe in spending effort or working toward the future. One day, he gets a diary (the “future diary”) on his mobile phone, and he becomes involved in the game of survival.

Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido is the northernmost zoo in Japan. It was once in danger of being shut down but overcame this crisis. The leader of the zookeepers, Sakauchi Zen (Yamaguchi Tomomitsu), has become the zoo’s director. He works hard towards the construction of a new giraffe enclosure. On the other hand, the zookeepers Izumi Sawako (Toda Erika) and Nakagawa Shinichi (Koide Keisuke) privately have worries while being swamped with their job of raising animals. Sawako, who is in charge of the popular red pandas, sees signs of a pregnancy, but cannot feel genuinely happy. Having been present at the deaths of animals countless times in the past, she has developed a fear of witnessing the life and death of animals. Nakagawa, who has been appointed the leader of the breeding staff, even has strong ideas about the current state of the zoo. A part of him cannot agree with Sakauchi on the construction of the giraffe enclosure too. Poor with both people and animals, Okamura is given the task to rear the zoo’s oldest animal, the hippopotamus, by Sakauchi. Okamura is uncomfortable with a job which does not have a manual. However, he takes Makihara’s advice and gradually becomes concerned about the hippopotamus more than anyone else. The new enclosure is completed. A young hippopotamus also arrives.
