The 'Universe League', which will create a boy group, will be held in a completely different format from Season 1. They select team members through a trainee draft and compete against each other. During the summer in the present day, Jeon Youn Ha runs a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Sung A.

In the early 2000's, Koo Sang Joon ran the same vocation cottage as Jeon Young Ha did years later. Koo Sang Joon and his family also lived there, but, during the summer, something happened at his vacation cottage and Koo Sang Joon lost everything because of that. At that time, Yoon Bo Min worked as a police officer at the nearest police substation from the vacation cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo Min is transferred to the same police substation where she worked before and she begins to work there as the chief. She enjoys solving things and begins to observe Jeon Young Ha closely.

The drama follows the lives of a large, rich, and influential Chinese family living in British Hong Kong during the 1920′s and 30′s, a time when eastern and western cultures clashed, and women began to fight for a position in society to change the traditions of a woman always coming second behind a man. Although wealthy and renowned barrister, Chung Cheuk Man (Damian Lau) studied abroad in England and enjoyed a western lifestyle, deep down he is still a traditional Chinese man. Similar to many upper class during that era, Cheuk Man has many wives and mistresses, a symbol of his status. His first wife Koo Sum Lan (Mary Hon) was born from a wealthy family. His second wife, Aisin Gioro Yee Yin (Idy Chan) is an former princess from the Qing dynasty. His third wife, Yvonne Yik (Elena Kong) came from a rich banker family. Peking opera singer Hong Tsz Kwan (Tavia Yeung) is the fourth wife. The fifth woman in Cheuk Man’s life is Chiu Dan Dan (JJ Jia, who was only interested in living a luxurious and materialistic lifestyle.

A story about a talented child actress who wins back her dream after retiring from acting. Keito was once a popular child actress, but she had shut herself away from society for 10 years after a traumatic acting incident. She is now 17 years old and incidentally enrolls to a free school for dropouts where she makes true friends. Together, they build trust and find the meaning of life. The drama is based on a popular comic written by Yoko Kamio.

Both brothers and rivals, Kim Su Hyung (Jang Dong Gun) and Kim Jun Ki (Son Chang Min) are doctors at the same hospital. Young and promising figures in the field, Su Hyung and Jun Ki are dedicated to their profession, though not always as disciplined in other matters. Su Hyung's rash and insensitive personality often brings tears to his longtime girlfriend Min Joo (Lee Young Ae), who is also a doctor. The brothers face crises in both their personal and professional lives when Jun Ki's mistake leads to his friend's wife's passing and Su Hyung discovers a family secret concerning his identity.

The protagonist, Yang Guo, is the orphaned son of Yang Kang, the antagonist in The Legend of the Condor Heroes. The couple Guo Jing and Huang Rong raises Yang Guo briefly before he is sent to the Quanzhen Sect for better guidance in moral values and orthodox martial arts. In Quanzhen, Yang Guo is often picked on and bullied by his fellow students, and even his master, Zhao Zhijing, is biased against him. Yang Guo flees and ventures unknowingly into the nearby Tomb of the Living Dead, where the Ancient Tomb Sect is housed. He is saved by Xiaolongnü, a mysterious maiden of unknown origin, and becomes her apprentice. They live together in the tomb for many years until Yang Guo grows up. After being attacked by Li Mochou, they leave the tomb and stay on the mountain. Xiaolongnü develops romantic feelings for Yang Guo and after a while, he falls in love with her.

However, their romance is forbidden by doctrines of the Confucianism society of that time. Throughout the story, their love meets with several tests, such as the misunderstandings that threaten to tear them apart and the encounter with Gongsun Zhi. Finally, after their reunion and marriage, Xiaolongnü leaves Yang Guo again, owing to her belief she cannot recover from a fatal poison, and promises to meet him again 16 years later. While Yang Guo is wandering the jianghu alone, he meets several formidable martial artists and a giant condor. His adventures gradually mould him into a courageous martial artist, whose prowess matches the Greats of his age. Yang Guo serves his nation by helping the Han Chinese citizens of the Song Dynasty defeat the Mongol invaders. At the end of the novel, he is reunited with Xiaolongnü and they are recognized as heroes of their time.

Leung Tsan (Yuen Biao), a cook and a disciple of Wing Chun Master, Wong Wah Po (Yuen Wah), just wants to earn enough money to marry his sweetheart, Cheung Kin Hei (Maggie Siu). While in China, the Mongolian clan's chief, Pong Ban tries, by all means, to regain Heng-Lit's childhood memory and groom him into the Mongolian Prince. This is in the hope that Heng-Lit may lead Mongol rebel warriors into a civil war to overthrow the Ming Dynasty, whereby realizing the Mongol dream. However, Heng-Lit has his own dream of an Equal world, whereby Mongol and the Han-Chinese live together in harmony...

The plot revolves around three generations of the Shandong family between 1923 and 1976. The narrator tells the story of his family's struggles, first as distillery owners making sorghum wine and then as resistance fighters during the Second Sino-Japanese War; as a drama adaptation there will be a greater emphasis on the female perspective.
