She works with Dong Ki Joon. He is Sa Ra’s business partner and an advisory lawyer at Solution. Before coming to Solution, he was an excellent prosecutor who had the nickname of "German Shepherd." He picked up the nickname because of his persistence and keen intuition, but Ki Joon left the prosecutors' office for an unknown reason. Sa Ra and Ki Joon work together for people who are suffering through difficult divorces.

Not long after the founding of the new China, a heroic force led by advance platoon leader Yang Guanghai establishes a border checkpoint at Tahar City, which is located at the Pamir Mountains and home to ethnic Tajiks. The story begins from the 1930s, spanning over 70 years till modern day. Ju Xiang is born into a big Peranakan family where her mum is a mistress. During the World War, Ju Xiang is tortured and both she and her husband die, leaving behind their 8-year-old daughter Yue Niang. After the war, Yue Niang's maternal relatives who ran away to England to seek refuge during wartime return home. Yue Niang then leads the life of her mother – always discriminated, beaten up and tortured. Yue Niang is then sold to a butcher, Liu Yi Dao. However, Yue Niang's strong personality impresses Liu Yi Dao and they become sworn siblings instead. Yue Niang decides to choose her own path in life. She begins learning how to run a business and she manages to overcome the odds and save her declining family business. Sadly, her love life has yet to begin a new chapter with no news about her lover, Chen Xi.

The sequel continues the story between the Crown Prince, the Crown Princess and the son of the Prime Minister with the addition of his martial arts sister that turns the love triangle into a square. After Su Yu and Ye Qing Ge are forcibly separated, the couple finds their way back to each other through a fake death. Xie Qing Yun has no choice but to withdraw from the love triangle, which unexpectedly leads him to cross paths with martial sister He Lian. However, the four encounter their biggest problem yet when the Empress Dowager of Beichu reveals the truth behind Su Yu's identity, causing Ye Qing Ge's life to be in danger as the King contemplates killing the fake Crown Prince.

Born with a golden tongue and able to distinguish between good and bad dishes from one bite, Ding Yat San is upset that his adoptive father Ding Yat has forbidden him from being a chef. When he hears about a cooking contest in Yangzhou, he asks Shek Yau to disguise as a man and substitute for him in the competition. As a result, he wins the admiration of famous chef Koi Siu Tin. Ding Yat San and Koi Siu Tin work together to create new dishes, which helps Koi Siu Tin win the Golden Lotus Flower, culinary's highest honour, many times in a row. As they become famous, they meet new friends who are also interested in food, like the daughter of a wealthy family Tung Ming Ming and a famous female chef Dai Ng Yuen. Tung Ming Ming has a crush on Ding Yat San, while Ding Yat San admires Shek Yau, but Shek Yau likes Koi Siu Tin, causing Ding Yat San to decide to break with Koi Siu Tinand work on his own. But things turn out differently from what he planned. Ding Yat San is framed by Shek Yau and loses his golden tongue abilities. Later, he is revealed to be the descendant of a formerly famous chef. Ding Yat San vows to clear his father's name, even if he has to pay the price of being deserted by everyone.

Arisa Mizuki plays a 35-year-old woman named Kurumi, who suddenly loses everything in her life when her fiance runs off with all of her assets. Left with a mere 15,000 yen and some boxes of ohagi (a type of rice ball), the despairing Kurumi happens upon a construction site, and she begins handing out the ohagi to the men working there. Using the theme of food, "Tenshi no Wakemae" depicts Kurumi's journey as she turns her life around.
