The 'Universe League', which will create a boy group, will be held in a completely different format from Season 1. During the summer in the present day, Jeon Youn Ha runs a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Sung A.

In the early 2000's, Koo Sang Joon ran the same vocation cottage as Jeon Young Ha did years later. Koo Sang Joon and his family also lived there, but, during the summer, something happened at his vacation cottage and Koo Sang Joon lost everything because of that. At that time, Yoon Bo Min worked as a police officer at the nearest police substation from the vacation cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo Min is transferred to the same police substation where she worked before and she begins to work there as the chief. She enjoys solving things and begins to observe Jeon Young Ha closely.

Uno Masanao, a 19-year-old student of a university of the arts, works part-time at a convenience store in Tokyo. After suffering from a devastating calamity due to the earthquake, the story set in Tangshan is an emotional journey about two households, three generations and nine people with different last names who come to form a family. In the year 1976, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake suddenly struck and buried Wang Da Ming and his wife beneath a pile of rubble. After six days and seven nights, Wang Da Ming is saved and upon gaining consciousness, he learns that his wife who was pregnant at the time and his father did not survive. Everywhere he looks, every household in the neighborhood grieves the loss of a family member. Wang Daming lives his days unable to recover from the incident when Yang Ai walks into his life. She is an ordinary worker for a ceramic factory. Yang Ai is orphaned. Her older sister also lost her family during the earthquake except for her youngest son who is mute. Because of their meeting, Wang Da Ming and Yang Ai gradually become family to each other and they try to pick up the pieces to make a new home.

The story continues from the previous season. After the capable constable Shen Jun Ye got a promotion and came to the capital, she worked for Li Cheng Qi, the commander of the detective department, and together they solved many unsolved cases. However, she unexpectedly found that Li Cheng Qi was disguised by her missing fiancé, Lu Xiao Bai.

Hiraki Asuka is diagnosed with cancer with three months left. She returns to her daughter and former husband, both of whom she had abandoned before in order to spend her last days especially with her daughter and to regain her love.

Storyline covers periods from the 1960s to the present day. Various historical incidents like the Vietnam War, May 16 military coup d'etat and the assassination of Korean President Park Chung Hee.

Ki Tae, described as Korea's first entertainer. Ki Tae debuted at an American military base stage and worked in the show business during the 1960s. Ki Tae is the son of the richest man in Soonyang. He works at a cinema, which is one of several businesses owned by his father, but he is more interested in having fun than work. Ki Tae is just a troublemaker to his father. One day his father checks his account book and finds that some numbers are missing. Ki Tae explains that he invested 10,000,000 won on making a movie to show in the cinema on Korean Thanksgiving Day. His father stipulates that this is the last chance for Ki Tae.

47-year-old Aso Toko is asked by her ex-husband Masaoka Ryosuke to take their 17-year-old daughter Miu under her care because he is leaving for an overseas assignment in London. Toko who had wanted to take custody of her daughter, has her long-cherished wish fulfilled and her old friend Suga Yohei is happy for her. However, Toko does not have the confidence to live with Miu who is now a high school student. Although Miu also has no intention of living together with the mother who had abandoned her, the two of them meet again for the first time in 12 years in order to have a discussion. On the very day that mother and daughter are reunited, Miu’s impertinent behaviour angers Toko, and they reach an agreement to live separately with Miu staying at a friend’s house. However, Toko and Miu get trapped in the lift they took right after that and then the lift suddenly plunges. The shock from this incident causes their souls to swap bodies. As a result, the two of them have no choice but to live together. They are forced to witness each other’s daily life and secrets. While mother and daughter sling long-held feelings at each other, they try to undo the situation through a process of trial and error. With an age gap of 30 years, Toko finds it difficult to deal with youth while Miu is bewildered by old age. And yet, they are one in body and soul. Theirs is a delicate relationship. And then, the two of them experience the tremulous excitement of love that is age inappropriate. Before long, Toko and Miu get a better understanding of being female and face what it is to be parent and child again.
