During the summer in the present day, Jeon Youn Ha runs a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Sung A.

In the early 2000's, Koo Sang Joon ran the same vocation cottage as Jeon Young Ha did years later. Koo Sang Joon and his family also lived there, but, during the summer, something happened at his vacation cottage and Koo Sang Joon lost everything because of that. At that time, Yoon Bo Min worked as a police officer at the nearest police substation from the vacation cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo Min is transferred to the same police substation where she worked before and she begins to work there as the chief. She enjoys solving things and begins to observe Jeon Young Ha closely.

They sat and talked as the man tasted his food and complimented his extreme talent. The man was Ma Yau's lifesaver because when Ma Yau was little, the man would cook a meal for Ma Yau to eat, which eventually made him interested in the profession of cooking.

Ching Long is a rebellious young man who moved from Hong Kong to Taiwan against his father's wishes, while his best friend Ko Tin Chun is a successful young architect. Ching Long returns to Hong Kong working manual labour jobs and also as a stunt double. The story revolves around Long and the misunderstanding with his father as well as his romantic relationships with a Vietnamnese refugee Chin Kiu and his sister's best friend, Sum Mun Yee. Ko Tin Chun is in love with Sum Mun Yee but he finds out that her heart is with Ching Long. Other events causes Ko Tin Chun to see Ching Long as an obstacle in his life. Their friendship was slowly approaching its breaking point.

Serina Hirakawa (Riisa Naka) is a deputy director at a public prosecutor's office. Her father (Yukijiro Hotaru) was a police officer, but killed. Kentaro was charged for murdering her father. Serina's father was investigating Kentaro and his involvement in a string of thefts inside of cars. Kentaro was found guilty for the murder. Serina Hirakawa admired Prosecutor Ryoji Tajima (Goro Kishitani) who extracted a confession from Kentaro.

Now, Serina works for Prosecutor Ryoji. One day, Kentaro insists he is innocent of the murder charge and kills himself in prison.

Several days later, Prosecutor Ryoji meets Attorney Kuromiya (Jiro Sato). The attorney defended Kentaro in the murder case. Attorney Kuromiya tells Prosecutor Ryoji about the real killer in the murder case. Soon, Attorney Kuromiya is found dead. Doubts about the death of Serina's father is aroused. Prosecutor Ryoji is suspected in the murder of Attorney Kuromiya. Serina is dumbfounded by the recent chain of events. She soon begins to investigate the two murder cases: her father's murder and the death of Attorney Kuromiya.
