Qing Chen is eventually able to heal the rift between Yuan Ling and Yuan Zhan, allowing them to join hands to overthrow the corrupt officials and return peace to the land. ~~ Drunken Exquisiteness is based on the time travel romance novel of the same name by Shi Siye, and the original premise is basically the same as Bu Bu Jing Xin.

    Sui Tang Yanyi begins in the 580s with the conquest of the Chen dynasty (557-589) by the Sui dynasty under Emperor Wen, and concludes with the return of the Tang dynasty's Emperor Xuanzong to the capital Chang'an in 758 near the end of the An Lushan Rebellion (755-763).

    The plot is made up of three main story lines.

    The first, with Emperor Yang of Sui and his concubine Zhu Gui'er (朱貴兒) as the central characters, covers the events in the political arena and inner palace in the final years of the Sui dynasty.

    The second story line narrates a turbulent period known as the transition from Sui to Tang, when heroes such as Qin Shubao,Shan Xiongxin (單雄信), Cheng Yaojin (程咬金) and Xu Maogong rise up to overthrow the Sui dynasty, followed by stories of how Li Shimin (the future Emperor Taizong of Tang) defeated his rivals and eventually solidified the Tang dynasty's sovereignty over China.

    The last story line tells of the romance between Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Consort Yang, and the events of the An Lushan Rebellion.

Xia Bing is devastated by the loss of her grandfather and swears she will track down Xiao Wei and get revenge. Meanwhile, Xiao Wei is taken in by a general Wang Sheng and his wife Pei Rong. But soon, Pei Rong begins to suspect that Xiao Wei is a demon in disguise and requests help from Pang Yong, who has always had feelings for Pei Rong, to help her. As Pang Yong begins to investigate Xiao Wei, he meets up with Xia Bing, and the two try to expose Xiao Wei with each other’s help. Xiao Wei falls in love with Wang Sheng but is unable to use her strong powers to win her heart. Angry by this, Xiao Wei casts a “painted skin” spell on Pei Rong to make the world believe that she is a demon.

    It is adapted from the 2008 film by the same title, which also is loosely based on a classic short story from “Strange Stories From a Chinese Studio” by Pu Song Ling.

While recuperating, Hao Jie learns the Shaolin style of martial arts and begins to find inner peace. An epic battle then awaits when Huo Lung attacks the Shaolin Temple.
