Fifteen years have passed, Liu Lao Gen has turned over the management of Longquan Mountain Villa to his son Liu Da Kui. When an old friend asks Liu Laogen for a favor for his son, Liu Lao Gen tries to find a job for him and becomes shocked to learn that the villa is in terrible shape. Furthermore, Liu Da Kui has been colluding with his granddaughter and other mid-level cadres to conceal the true state of the villa. In order to fix things before it's too late, Liu Lao Gen makes his return.

This is the second season of Youth Periplous 2, which is a Chinese variety show that is focused on cultural and tourism exploration. The show is comprised of a "Spring Outing Family" that get to experience Chinese culture by visiting various cities and destinations, enjoying local food, appreciate distinctive local elements and beautiful scenery. The main cast is made up of Yang Di, Lang Lang, Zhou Shen, Fan Cheng Cheng, and Jia Ling.
