The four brothers and sisters of the Mo family responded to the call of the country and came to Inner Mongolia grasslands from Nanjing to study and live together with the herdsmen. They struggled because of cultural differences and the hardship of the environment. They also valued their love and precious friendship, and they lived their youth and life in this land. This drama shows the character development of the people who lived in a different environment.

A Chinese Odyssey: Love of Eternity is another adaptation of the classic story “The Journey to the West”.

Five hundred years ago, Zi Xia descends to the human realm to find Zhi Zun Bao. He is the man that she loves and the person who pulled out the Zi Qing Sword. However, the sword gets damaged along the way and she uses the time traveling ability of the pandora's box in hopes of repairing it. She ends up five hundred years later and meets Zhi Zun Bao with no recollection of his past life. He is the leader of a gang of outlaws called the ax gang and has been spending time with Bai Jing Jing. The plot then takes on a whole new level of craziness that involves more time traveling and outrageous happenings.

In the northwest desert where countless prosperous dynasties have flourished and fallen, there is a rumor that buried amongst the sand exists a tomb containing countless riches. A group of mysterious guardians have been guarding the map to the location of the treasure until a fierce rivalry erupts. A notorious international crime group, The Company, manage to hunt down the map keeper but not before he manages to pass the map to a young chivalrous man, Ciao Fei (Jay Chou).

Ciao Fei was forced to give up the map to save the life of his mentors daughter Lan Ting (Lin Chi-ling). Teaming up with Hua Ding Bang (Chen Daoming), who is a famous archeologist, and Lan Ting they embark on a dangerous journey to recover the map and fight to protect the ancient treasure.

The story is set in ancient China during the Southern Song Dynasty. Emperor Gaozong is deceived by the treacherous premier Qin Hui and he puts the patriotic general Yue Fei to death. Qin Hui's supporters dominate the imperial court, leading to widespread corruption in the government. Some righteous ministers oppose Qin Hui, but do not dare to challenge him directly, so they form the secret organization Haoxia to undermine his influence. Eight people with special skills and abilities receive invitations to join Haoxia and their heroic quest begins. The plot's development is based on several loosely-connected subplots and short stories, and ends with a grand finale of a showdown between the heroes and Qin Hui's forces.
