Sagara Ryosuke is an ordinary salaryman and he works for a mid-size shipping company. He is a good natured person. His family consists of his wife Maho, high school student daughter and elementary school student son. Maho works part-time at a supermarket. They are a happy family, but, Maho and their two children suddenly disappear. There are no clues about their disappearance. Ryosuke gets the attention of the media and public. He tries to find the truth behind his family's disappearance with the help of his subordinate Ninomiya Mizuho at work.

Takemichi Hanagaki lives as a 26-year-old freeter. His life is basically miserable. One day, he learns from the news that Hinata Tachibana and her younger brother Naoto Tachibana were murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi Hanagaki is stunned by the news because Hinata Tachibana was his first love during his middle school days.

The next day, Takemichi Hanagaki is pushed by someone on a station platform and falls onto the railway track. At that moment, he goes back 10 years into the past. There, he tells Naoto Tachibana that in 10 years, Hinata Tachibana will get murdered. This changes the present day. Now, Naoto Tachibana works as a detective and avoids being killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, but Hinata Tachibana's fate is different. She is murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Takemichi Hanagaki then asks for help from Detective Naoto Tachibana. He wants to save Hinata Tachibana by going back in time to destroy the Tokyo Manji Gang.

The Hakuoukai Asahi Kaihin Hospital, which is a hospital branch of the Hakuoukai Group, starts a reform of the emergency medical care system at their hospital. They create a night doctor system. The night doctor is an emergency medical team that only works during night duty. Thanks to this system, the shift system is abandoned and the hospital is able to appropriate care 24 hours a day.

Asakura Mitsuki, Naruse Akihito, Fukazawa Shin, Sakuraba Shun and Takaoka Yukiho are members of the night doctor team. These five doctors differ in personalities and age, but, under the motto of never refusing a patient, they begin their work.

When infiltrating dangerous criminal organizations, they are often putting their lives at risk. The team’s best diver is Kurosawa , who’s known for being ruthless when apprehending criminals , but on occasion, will reveal his nicer side to others.

Nakagawa Saori is a chef apprentice at "Chez Nishijima", a prestigious French restaurant in Tokyo in year 2020. Makino Hiyori visits ex-detective Natsume Soichiro who investigated the case 5 years ago. He lives is at a share house where only ex-police officers can live.

Live-action suspense based on manga artist Oshikiri Rensuke's "Liverleaf." Depicts a grandiose tale of revenge fueled by the intertwining emotions of people who have endured abuse, bullying, and other forms of trauma.

Nozaki Haruka moves from Tokyo to the countryside, where she becomes the target of severe bullying at her new school. Her sole ally is her classmate Aiba Mitsuru, another transfer student. However, the class diva Oguro Taeko mobilizes her clique to escalate Haruka's bullying on a daily basis.

Kousaku Aizawa, Megumi Shiraishi, Mihoko Hiyama, Kazuo Fuikawa and Haruka Saejima have worked and pursued careers down different paths.

Kousaku Aizawa left the hospital emergency room. He now works as a brain surgeon. Megumi Shiraishi works hard as a staff leader for flight doctors at a hospital emergency room. Mihoko Hiyama wanted to become a flight doctor in th past, but she left the hospital emergency room and now works as an ob-gyn. Kazuo Fuikawa works as a emergency physician specializing in orthopedics and works with Megumi Shiraishi. Haruka Saejima still works as a nurse for flight doctors.

They each live fiercely and face new situations.

Keita Orimo (Atsushi Ito) works at an apparel company and is on the layoff list. He is divorced and has a 9-year-old daughter. Keita Orimo is also a bit old-school and carries a flip phone. One day, Keita Orimo's brain suddenly becomes like a smartphone. He can see text balloons flying by and he can even see messages for other people. His smartphone like brain leads him to get involved with trouble at his workplace.

Makita Takahiro works in the Public Relations (PR) Department of Nagawara Seiyaku, a major pharmaceutical company in Japan. One day, on his way to work, he witness someone committing suicide by jumping onto the railway tracks, into the path of an oncoming train. A few days later, he is called into the Vice President, Anjo Takao's office, where he is told that the suicide may have something to do with one of the drugs manufactured by the company. Anjo then assigns Takahiro to work with the police on their investigations. As Nagawara Seiyaku is currently undergoing talks with a major foreign equity group on a possible merger, any bad publicity will put an end to that. The company will definitely go under then, as they are in the red due to the economic crisis. Takahiro has been told to not breathe a word about the investigations to anyone, not even his fiancee, Morita Mayumi, who is working as Anjo's secretary.

When the autopsy records the said drug to be found in the deceased's body, Anjo instructs Takahiro to approach the family, to persuade them on an out-of-court settlement, while they are writing up reports for the Ministry of Health. Torn between his obligation to the public and to the company, Takahiro approaches the company lawyer, Takafuji Tatsumi, for advice and help.

In the end, will Takahiro ignore his conscience in order to protect the company's profit?

Kuraki Naotake is the top ace of the Public Safety Department. Osugi Ryota is a top-notch straight-talking detective from the MPD. Akeboshi Misa is an investigator from the Public Safety Department. The basis for the drama is the novel "Kashikogi" by author Cho Chang-in, which has sold 2 million copies in Korea since its publication in 2000. It has already been adapted as a television drama and a stage play in that country. On February 4, Shogakukan is publishing the book in Japan under the title "Good Life" Sorimachi plays the part of Daichi Sawamoto, a newspaper reporter who has always prioritized his work over his family. When his wife suddenly leaves him, he finally notices the love he has been receiving from his son. Just as he decides to answer back, it is discovered that his son has leukemia. Igawa plays Sawamoto's wife, Eikura plays a pediatrics specialist, and Ihara plays a doctor.
