40-year-old Asakura Hazuki used to work for a big publishing company and was the editor of the female magazine ‘Us’. However, the magazine is discontinued. Hazuki’s contract with the publishing company is not renewed and she ends up losing her job. To make matters worse, she breaks up with Kosuke, her boyfriend of seven years, and is pressed for the loan on designer goods which she bought on a spree. At 40, Hazuki is on the edge of losing everything.

At that moment, she happens to get scouted to be a bus guide on Ahiru Bus, a city sightseeing tour which she has boarded. She is plunged into the completely foreign world of female bus guides. Hazuki aims to turn her life around as she journeys around a rapidly changing Tokyo.

13 years ago, the Abe family moved to a town in the suburbs, surrounded by nature. The Abe family consists of their French father Toma (De Lencquesaing Nozomi), his Japanese wife Mikiko (Rinko Kikuchi) and their beautiful daughter Yuko (Kanon Tani). Yuko is now in show business. Several years later, Yuko (Nana Komatsu) transfers to a large entertainment company. As her mother wishes, Yuko is now popular and appears on the cover of magazines, variety shows and drama series. Yuko, though, feels an uncomfortable imbalance between her public image and her real self. During this time, she meets a dancer, Seiko (Mackenyu), who marches to the beat of his own drum, and falls in love with him. The nightmare begins.

Nakama Yukie plays the role of Rin, who works at a publishing company and is someone who has not dated in 8 years. She has been too busy working and looking after her siblings after their parents passed away. Her colleagues and boss consider her "difficult" to handle because of her strong-willed personality. One day, she goes to her best friend's "divorce celebration" with Nanako who lives in the same apartment. There, she meets Matsumoto, a dentist, Tada, a researcher at a food manufacturing company, and Shunpei, a part time worker. Few days after the party, all three of them contact her but she has been out of the dating market for so long, she does not know what to do... Based on the Yorozu Uranaidokoro novel series, the drama takes place in the shopping district of Oji, a town in the Kita-ward, Tokyo. Abeno Shomei is a good-looking man who used to work as a host. One day, he rents a shop and hangs up a sign that says "Onmyoya." With zero psychic power and a lackadaisical attitude, he refuses to work if there is no profit to be made. The story focuses on a group of mothers who all have children around the same age. These women form a bond through sharing their anxieties about raising their children, each coming from a different background. However, the friendship between the five women also turns to jealousy and betrayal, due to the fact that their children are all taking similar entrance exams for elementary school.

Anne plays the protagonist Yuko, whose set of values as a woman, wife, and mother have been overturned, and she struggles to climb back from her fallen state.

Meanwhile, her four fellow mothers are hiding serious problems at home, despite their appearances. Ono Machiko plays a woman receiving verbal abuse from her husband on a daily basis, Kurashina Kana plays a “yankee mama” who got pregnant as a teenager by a truck driver, Ryo plays a capable woman running her own online shop, and Kimura Yoshino plays a popular reader model for a women's magazine.
