One day, an application from Shiota Yoshiko was delivered to Koushin Newspaper with the gist of its contents saying "Yatou Denki seems interesting, so I'd like to read your publication". Sugimoto Ryuji then sent a letter of acknowledgement to Yoshiko. However, in less than one month's time since the application was made, these words were delievered "Your novel is too boring so I will not purchase it anymore"

Kyosuke is very suspicious and refuses her request, but she begs him to reconsider and explains that she is trying to escape from her violent husband. Kyosuke finally agrees and alters her appearance to that of his late wife. Afterwards, a relationship begins to develop between the two of them, but things start to unravel when two police officers show up on his doorstep looking for the "missing" woman. --TBS

He has come to not be able to trust people anymore, so he doesn't even see them as people. Which pretty much makes teaching anything to anyone out of the question. To make things worse, the kids at the school have lost all of their ambition. This teacher can't teach children, and he can't be taught. This story is depicted with a comedic touch, as Ozu and the students go through some violent, yet funny times on the way to his learning some valuable lessons from them. ~ Fuji TV

Omnibus bus drama series "Oyaji no Senaka" tells 10 different stories about fathers and their sons and daughters.

Three of Japan’s top veteran samurai stars shine in this colour remake of the classic Kobayashi film, Samurai Rebellion. The roles made famous by Mifune Toshiro and Nakadai Tatsuya are taken over by the ever popular Tamura Masakazu and Matsudaira Ken, with the surprise addition of Lady Snowblood’s Kaji Meiko as Suga, the shrewish wife of master swordsman Sasahara Isaburo. Staying true to the original storyline lends authenticity to this new and beautifully executed version. Lord Matsudaira of the Aizu clan has sent his favourite concubine to marry Sasahara’s son Yogoro after she had borne the lord a second son. Bloody violence will erupt when the lord wants her back!

The middle-aged couple at the center of this drama somehow seems to pull through despite constant quarreling. The critical husband has clearly found his match in an equally combative wife, with one hilarious encounter after another revealing the love/hate relationship which typically underlies modern marriages.
