Queen Insu (1437~1504) was the wife of king Deok Jong and a daughter of Hanh Wak, the second state councilor. Since the 2nd year of Sung Jong's reign, she was called Queen Insu. she was evaluated as the best states-woman in Choseon. This drama series depicts the ill-fated relationships of three women and their destinies. During the era of king Dan Jong, the sixth king of the Joseon Dynasty, Prince Soo Yang’s son, Do Won, was married to Han Jung. Unlike other women, Han Jung did not try to hide her ambition for political power. She eventually stood against Queen Jung Hee, her mother-in-law, and set her son on the throne to assume power. But when Deposed Queen Lady Yun appeared, the conflict among the three women reached its climax.

Talented chefs Bong Joo and Sung Chan were raised like brothers after Sung Chan was orphaned and taken in by Bong Joo's family. Bong Joo's family owns a famous traditional Korean restaurant and claims descent from the last royal chef of the Joseon Dynasty. Bong Joo assumes that as the eldest, he will be the one to take over his family's restaurant and marry Joo Hee when his father makes a surprising announcement about a special cooking contest! Sung Chan is seen as a threat by some because of his youth, talent, creativity and non-conforming ways. Feeling sorry for him, Joo Hee tries to help him. Discovering the truth about their great-grandfather causes a crisis for Bong Joo, but he later becomes even more determined to be a success while Sung Chan decides to leave. Sung Chan becomes a food peddler, specializing in the freshest and best ingredients in traditional Korean cuisine. Will he ever become a chef again? Will they ever become united as "brothers"?

A young man here is dreaming about his future. He needs to do whatever task lying in front of him to earn his living, yet he is running fast to dream and to love. Whenever he is sprinting, he is so full of energy that he forgets about his poverty and his dark family background. The world might jeer at him but he does not care.

She is rather special. She is very well aware of her charms and is highly self-reliant. The most unfamiliar word to her is "failure" because she has never faced failure in her life since the world was always on her side. She conquered whatever she intended and she dumped whatever she thought unnecessary. However, she just cannot deny the love that is to determine her destiny. She is like an open-hearted prairie, young and gleaming.

They love each other and the love changes both of their lives; they run towards the uneasy future.

Although at first unwillingly, Jo and Gong later become the best of sister/brother-in-law. They depend on each other for help, trouble, and fun. Oh Yuhn Soo, Jo's wife, is grateful at the happy relationship, but things go astray when Gong grows a greater affection for Jo. When Gong confesses her feelings for Jo, the two start to grow apart. Although they later end up in the same police department, they try hard to avoid eachother, and Oh starts to realize the reason why. Kim Rae Won is Gong's friend and the son of a rich hotel owner. Although he knows that Gong likes her brother-in-law, he never gives up his feelings for her. Things seem to turn out alright when Gong starts to date Kim and forget about Jo, but her sister Oh dies. The dangerous yet innocent love for her brother-in-law puts Gong in a terrible situation...how is love different in a family?

A man wakes up one morning to find a beautiful young woman sleeping nude beside him. Neither of them can remember the previous night's events. After trying to walk away from the incident and get back to his normal life as a lawyer, he quickly learns several important facts: 1. The girl is the daughter of a big crime boss. 2. She was allegedly a virgin before he had his way with her. 3. He can either choose to marry her, or be murdered. The circumstances are very suspicious, and it seems possible that he's somehow been framed into this position. But even a lawyer would have trouble talking his way out of this one-especially when the judge and jury are not at all impartial, are not his peers, all carry weapons, and want to kill him if he says the wrong thing.

This story is about three people, Jae Ho, Shi Yung and Suk Ho. Jae Ho and his sister Jae Young are abandoned by their mother to escape poverty. Because of this, Jae Ho doesn't understand what love is. And so, he has a dream of becoming rich, thinking that there is no such thing as love, only money. He works hard his whole life while supporting himself and his sister through college. He works at a seafood wholesale market selling crabs to vendors. He lives with his aunt who has taken him and his sister in after their mother abandoned them.

With his big dreams and ambitions, he pretends to be rich while in school, in order to gain the attention of Hyun Su, who is from a very rich family. Thus, he tries to get her to like him so he can marry into her family and become rich. But during this process, he falls in love with his Psychology teacher, Shi Yung. He battles with his feelings and his ambitions, and ultimately picks love over money. Even though they go through hardship, he realizes that he couldn't survive without both, and so he gives up on Shi Yung for money and wishes her happiness.
