Set in the 1940's when Korea was under Japanese occupation. Korean people were banned from speaking their own language during that time.

Pan Soo has been imprisoned several times and it is nothing special for him to go there. He does not know how to read or write the Korean language. One day, he steals Jung Hwan’s bag to help pay for his son's tuition fee. Jung Hwan is the son of a wealthy Korean family who is pro-Japanese. Yet, Jung Hwan is a representative of the Korean Language Society. By meeting Jung Hwan, Pan Soo's life soon changes. They work together to publish a Korean language dictionary.

"Revivre" is about a middle aged man who is stuck between his dying wife and a younger woman he loves. It is based on a novel written by Kim Hoon which is also the Grand Prize winner of the 28th Top Literature Awards.

Vice President Oh is highly respected at his cosmetics company and is a faithful family man. One day, he finds out that his wife has been diagnosed with cancer and later spends every night on the hospital’s extra bed to keep her company after her surgery. Although he is weary from taking care of his wife, he does not show it at work. However, a new female employee, Choo Eun-joo, starts Oh’s mind stirring. Oh dreams of escaping his tedious and suffocating reality with Eun-joo. While in real life he has to go to the hospital and change his wife’s diaper after work, Eun-joo’s existence itself feels like a delight compared to his pitiful existence. Director Im Kwon-taek has directed several films that keenly look into human instinct, and Revivre is another one of them. The will to live, sexual instincts, the light and the darkness of life and fear and desperation about death are illustrated on the screen among other contradictory values, delivering the great director’s wisdom and understanding.

An ordinary high school student, Min Ah lives with her mother who occasionally acts like a child. Min Ah is a shy girl who does not have a lot of friends. That is why she doesn't enjoy school that much. The only thing that is fun for her is to watch Ki Soo, the boy who works in front of her school controlling traffic. He's a little crazy. Min Ah lives with the hope that someday she will also meet the fateful love of her life, just like the love that Ki Soo once had with an older student from her school.

One day, a new family moves into the villa one floor below Min Ah. It's the family of Young Jae, a college student. Young Jae tries to be overly friendly because they are new neighbours. Min Ah's mother prematurely assumes that Min Ah has a new boyfriend, and Young Jae simply goes along with her. One day, Min Ah falls for one of Young Jae's tricks.
