When the door to another world opens, demons exist there. Ku San Young is possessed by one of those demons. Yeom Hae Sang can see the demon which has possessed Ku San Young. They try to figure out the truth behind the mysterious deaths related to the five sacred objects.

Ku San Young is busy working part-time during the day and studying to become a low-ranking public officer at night. One day, she receives some articles left behind by her late father. Since then, mysterious deaths take place around her. She also finds herself slowly changing.

Yeom Hae Sang comes from a rich background. He teaches Korean folklore at a university. Since he was a child, he has had the special ability to see demons in this world. He even saw his mother killed by a demon in front of him when he was young. Yeom Hae Sang meets Ku San Young and he faces the demon which killed his mother.

Lee Hong Sae is a lieutenant in the violent crimes investigation team. He only cares about advancing his career in the police department. Due to Ku San Young and Yeom Hae Sang, he gets involved in mysterious cases.

Jung Yup tries to find a job as a lawyer for a law firm in Seoul. It's not so easy for him, with Jung Yup being from a smaller city. In the meantime, he begins work at a child welfare center in his hometown. He goes with a co-worker from the child welfare center to the police station and meets 10-year-old Da Bin. The young girl reported to the police that her stepmother Ji Sook choked her around her neck, but there isn't anything Jung Yup is able to do. Da Bin is returned to her family. Da Bin and her 7-year-old brother Min Joon begin visiting Jung Yup at the child welfare center daily. He makes an effort to spend time with them to keep his job. Jung Yup is aware that the children are abused by their stepmother, but he is powerless to do anything about it.

Jung Yup then learns that he has been hired by a law firm in Seoul. Without saying goodbye to Da Bin and Ji Sook, he heads off to Seoul. One day, he receives a phone call that Da Bin has killed her younger brother Min Joon.

Joo Ri and Yoon Ah are both second-year high school students. One day, they meet on the rooftop of their school. Joo Ri and Yoon Ah recently found out that Joo Ri’s father, Dae Won, and Yoon Ah’s mother, Mi Hee, were having an affair. Jong-Dae (Lee Min-Ho) and Yong-Ki (Kim Rae-Won) grew up in an orphanage like real brothers. After they leave the orphanage, they make a living by picking up paper and empty bottles. Jong-Dae then becomes involved in a struggle of interests over development in Gangnam, Seoul. In the process, he lives with Gil-Soo (Jung Jin-Young) and Sun-Hye (Seol Hyun) as they accept Jong-Dae like a family member. Jong-Dae also becomes a gang member.

Seong Gun is a lazy high school gym teacher. But when the school decides to strengthen its English program, Seong Gun decides learning and teaching English is the only way to survive.
