Man Koon Brewery is a century-old soy sauce maker in Foshan. The motto of patriarch Man Kai-shan (Hugo Ng) and his wife Tsik Tak-yung (Mimi Kung) is “Male succession and keep it in the family”. However, because of a contaminated soy sauce incident, they just have to let two women, namely, Ha Siu-moon (Rebecca Zhu) and Ip Sai-yiu (Katy Kung), join the business. The duo and their son Man Cheuk-fung (Matthew Ho) become fellow apprentices. Junior master Wah Ko (James Ng) gets involved with the trio, resulting in an intriguing foursome. Meanwhile, everybody gets anxious as certain secrets about the Mans are revealed and Cheuk-fung is abruptly taken away. At the brewery, Kai-shan’s younger brothers Kai-shek (Timothy Cheng), Kai-tsun (Gary Chan) and Kai-kong (Tsui Wing) want to divide the family fortune. And even outsider General Ko Shiu-wing (Andrew Yuen) is plotting to get his hands on a piece of the pie. With a 100-year history, Man Koon Brewery’s future is in doubt as it gets into such a precarious situation.

Shortly thereafter, Ha discovers that Sheung is just a tool of Sang guy who has been plotting to wage a battle of will against the Chu's.

Things get messier as several difficulties arise that only Tong Bak Fu can solve. With different views about life, Tong Bak Fu and Chau Heung seem to be incompatible. Spoilt Princess Tin Yuk makes things harder as she bullies Tong Bak Fu and others constantly, but falls in love with Tong Bak Fu later. To complicate things, Tong Bak Fu gets involved into a power struggle among the Emperor, Prince Ling and others.

During the Qing dynasty in Beijing, a powerful empress took over the throne.The story focus on four different families. Kiu Bun Yip, is a successful business banker, however, he also has enemies, including the Cho family. Bun Yip invited Pak Chuen to his bank Ding Fung Shing to learn about banking. At the same time, he met Cheung Shung Man, the two of them became best friends.

Into Thin Air' begins with Zhing and Winnie as a married couple. One day when Zhing is solving a case about a 'Rose Murderer', his son is there. His son wants to play with Zhing and Zhing is annoyed because he is trying to catch the murderer, so he shouts at him and pushes him away. Zhing then tries to find the murderer but the murderer has escaped. After this incident Zhing was fired and wasn't a police officer anymore.

Two years later the series tells us that Zhing and Winnie are divorced. Zhing has opened a service place that helps people find lost belongings with his cousin Super and friends Bo and Yen. Zhing has opened this servicing place to help people find what they have lost and also in the hope of finding his son.

Siu and her father are in the acting industry but they play small parts in series and they help out the director. One day Siu is looking after many children that are a part of a series and she brings them to a fast food restaurant. The children are all running about and being quite noisy. Zhing and Super are at the fast food restaurant too and see all the children running around in circles. Siu loses her earring and Zhing helps her find it. They acknowledge each other and Siu and Zhing exchange business cards.

'Into Thin Air' continues with a range of sub plots, mysteries and investigations. This series is also full of suspense, romance and emotional moments.

Ling Wan is a beautiful young girl who pretends to have an ugly face to prevent marrying. Her friend Chor Chor is not pretty looking either, therefore they became best friends. One day, Ling Wan accidentally saves the Emperor in disguise. He sees Ling Wan's real face and immediately falls in love with her. When he returns to the Imperial Palace, he could not get her off his mind so he sends someone to bring Ling Wan into the palace. Once Chor Chor realizes that Ling Wan's ugly face was fake and that the Emperor was bringing her into the palace she immediately goes find the "face changer", Siu To who she met beforehand in the village. Chor Chor makes Ling Wan unconscious and they switch faces. With now Ling Wan's face, Chor Chor takes her place and goes into the palace. The confused Ling Wan decides to travel to the palace alone to tell the Emperor the truth.
