The film is a tough-guy drama focusing on the drug trade. It tells the story of Xiao Jianfeng, who was framed and detained overseas for 25 years. After he was released from prison, he was entrusted by a mysterious person and needed to follow the instructions to know the whereabouts of his wife and daughter. In addition, Xiao Jianfeng's engineer brother accidentally discovered a complex drug dealing network, but was assassinated.

This film tells the story of Wudang faction Zhang Wuji who was inadvertently involved in the strife of the Jianghu caused by the Dragon Saber. He went to arrest Zhao Min in order to save the martial arts master.

It continues the cliffhanger from The Kung Fu Cult Master where Zhang Wu Ji heads out to find Zhao Min in Dadu. Unlike the righteous hero in the novels, Zhang Wu Ji's journey is much darker as he turns vengeful.

Zhang Wu Ji takes the Nine Yang Manual back to the Ice Fire Island. Under Xie Xun's tutelage, he finally masters a divine martial arts technique and becomes attuned to the way of the king. Having been oppressed for being weak, Zhang Wuji realizes that the only way he can take revenge is to seize power because his real enemy is the political force behind Cheng Kun. It takes Zhang Wu Ji 20 years before returning to Bright Peak. He is no longer indecisive and distracted by romantic entanglements because he is set on his goal to do whatever it takes to become the Ming Sect leader and then to become King.

When the girl Suno was born as a dead baby, she was rescued by the sacred multicolored stone left by Nuwa to fill the sky. Because of the cinnabar pattern on the face, she was regarded as a disaster star by the tribe. The Red Fox Sanjiu, who failed in the battle with Shen Gongbao and fled, possessed Suno, and the two were like brothers and sisters. Later Suno rescued the Shang prince Xin. The two had a mutual affection but the Suyi tribe was exterminated. After several setbacks, Suno found that the persecutor seemed to be Zi Xin, and started revenge.

Gong Sun Li (Dilraba Dilmurat) is the grand-daughter and disciple of military commander Gong Sun Yu. Jing Ke (first disciple, played by Liu Chang) and Sun Li are childhood lovers and were forced to escape when Qin troops attacked.

However, Sun Li’s wall-shattering beauty seizes the interest of the Qin Emperor, Ying Zheng (Zhang Bin Bin), and she’s captured and sent to his palace. It’s then that she discovers she’s pregnant with Jing Ke’s child (Tian Ming). Ying Zheng treats him as if he’s his own child.

The tragic day arrives when Jing Ke tries to assassinate Ying Zheng and dies trying.

Sun Li (known then as Li Ji) also succumbs on the same day, leaving orphan Tian Ming to escape the palace with Han Shen, Jing Ke’s good friend.
