It's the story of a mother who died and begins a 49-day long project of reincarnation, and a husband who has barely begun to live a new life after overcoming the pain of losing his wife.

Jo Kang Hwa is a skilled thoracic surgeon. After losing his wife four years ago, he had been working as a single father until he got married again two years ago. While he seems like a caring person, he does not offer a hand nor intervene when needed.

In the Goryeo period, Sun Ok Nam was a fairy. She came down to this world and took a bath at a waterfall on Gyeryong Mountain. While she took the bath, a woodcutter took her fairy clothes and hid them. Because of this, Sun Ok Nam could not go back to Heaven. She then married the woodcutter and they had two children together, but her husband died from falling off of a cliff. Sun Ok Nam tried to find her fairy clothes, but she still could not locate it. Needing her fairy clothes, she decides to wait for husband to be reincarnated.

Now in the present day, she makes coffee at a cafe on Gyeryong Mountain and waits for her reincarnated husband. Finally, after 699 years, she gets a feeling that one of the two men visiting her cafe from Seoul is her reincarnated husband. Sun Ok-Nam is not sure which one of the two men is her husband. She deicides to follow them to Seoul to find out.

Thinking that Heo Im is weird, she hopes to get rid of Heo Im but instead, they travel back to Joseon together again.

Seo Ji Yoon is an art history lecturer who has devoted the best years of her life to earning her Ph.D. and working under her mentor, department chairman Min Jung Hak, in the hopes of being named a full-time professor at her university.

An enraged Jung Hak has Ji Yoon fired and ostracized from the art history community. At the bottom of her life, Ji Yoon discovers the secret diary of Shin Saimdang (1504-1551), a Korean artist, writer, calligraphist and poet who was the mother of Yi I, one of the two most prominent Korean Confucian scholars during the Joseon Dynasty.

The diary sheds new light on the life of Saimdang, her relationship with painter Lee Gyeom, and the Mount Geumgang painting. With the help of Sang Hyun and her best friend, Go Hye Jung, an antiquities researcher, can Ji Yoon get her life and career back?

This drama is based on Chinese novel “Bu Bu Jing Xin” by Tong Hua which was originally published online in 2005 on Jinjiang Original Network. The novel also adapted into the chinese television series “Scarlet Heart” which was aired in Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) from 2011-Sep-10 to 2011-Sep-29 and also “Scarlet Heart 2” which was aired in Zhejiang STV (ZJTV) from 2014-Apr-22 to 2014-May-07.

This drama was fully pre-produced before airing which is a departure from the live-shoot production format that characterizes most Korean dramas. The Filming Began on 2016-Jan and Completed on 2016-June-30. The series will be simulcast in China.

When a total eclipse of the sun takes place, a 21st-century woman, Go Ha Jin, is transported back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty of Korea. As a fusion drama on the life of politician Kim Doo Han, the drama tells the life of Kim Doo Han with fact and fiction. Kim Doon Han is the son of the great general Kim Jwah Jin, who fought for Korea against the Japanese during World War II. After his dad dies, Kim Doo Han trains in kung pao and learns to be a leader against the evil Japanese. He finds his own position as boss of the Jong Ro area in Seoul, and vows to protect his own Korean people. Goo Ma Juk, the boss of Seoul, fights against Kim Doo Han in an attempt to hand over the whole Seoul area to the Japanese redevelopment project, pursued by Hyashi. Hyashi himself is a Korean but he ironically lives as a Japanese fighting his own people. Through these many barriers, Kim Doo Han struggles to keep the Korean culture alive, later on becoming a politician after the Korean War.
