Kitazawa Tatsunosuke works as an elite bodyguard for a small bodyguard protection company. He is the ace of the company, with excellent athletic abilities, and is always able to see two or three steps ahead of a situation. When he takes action, he usually manages to stay calm and collected with his judgment. His father, who was a police officer, was stabbed to death.

Tatsunosuke, who is currently trying to pursue the killer, receives a request from the law firm to protect a new client. The client happens to be Kishimura Rika, a lawyer who is potentially being targeted due to a grudge against her in regard to a case she was in charge of. Because of this, she has to be under strict security 24 hours a day. Tatsunosuke, who is serious and stoic in nature, is largely inflexible and, naturally, not a good match for Rika, who hates being restricted. However, as they start to live together, their feelings toward each other begin to change.

The Hakuoukai Asahi Kaihin Hospital, which is a hospital branch of the Hakuoukai Group, starts a reform of the emergency medical care system at their hospital. They create a night doctor system. The night doctor is an emergency medical team that only works during night duty. Thanks to this system, the shift system is abandoned and the hospital is able to appropriate care 24 hours a day.

Sakurai soon finds himself in trouble with the Yakuza.

The main character Himi Ko is a lawyer who is an expert in the field of crisis management. Her main area of activity is not in a courtroom but within the shadows of many of the big scandals. As a genius "spin doctor", she has managed to solve 99.9% of her client’s issues and requests. If need be, she would even manage to reverse falsehood into justice. And most of all, she has a strong belief in supporting women, especially those who are stuck in a crisis and will go all the way to solve some of the most tricky cases. This is a drama which depicts such a determined character who takes whatever step she needs to help people who are at the edge of their lives!

However, despite having proof that the other media outlets do not have, he ends up handing the evidence over to Mochida Yutaka (Shoji Tomoharu) of Toa Shimbun just because he does not want it on television. This comes to the attention of other outlets. The bureau editor Hatoyama Akio (Fukikoshi Mitsuru) and bureau chief Yui Taro (Otomo Kohei) are naturally outraged. But Fuse is completely indifferent. Then the news bureau gets information that the actress Sawano Reiko (Shibuya Aki) is involved in a traffic accident. Reiko is an actress who attracts the entertainment media and there had also been rumours of her affair with a movie director called Sakaki who is now deceased. Fuse was the one who exposed this grand passion. When he arrives at the hospital, entertainment reporters have already gathered. Shimazaki Rokuro (Aijima Kazuyuki) is also there. Once he finds Reiko’s mother, Kaede (Lily), he aggressively seeks her comments. Fuse stands up for her and gets her into the safety of the hospital. However, Reiko passes away despite surgery. Fuse has no words to offer Kaede who is bereaved by the sudden loss of her daughter. Kaede soon calms down and tells him about a strange message that she received from Reiko right before the accident. It said, “I want to meet Sakaki. I greatly regret our breakup.” Why did Reiko, who has recovered from the shock of Sakaki’s death and been cheerful lately, suddenly express her desire to meet Sakaki. After returning to TBN TV, something occurs to him from his conversation with Kayama Eriko (Natsuna), who has become the new caster of TBN’s News 11. He heads to the bar where Kuroda Yusuke (Matsushige Yutaka), a Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department detective is at, with the intention of trading information regarding Reiko’s accident for information on Yamanobe. However, the television at the bar is shows Shimazaki reporting the contents of the message that Reiko sent to her mother on another network’s news programme. How did Shimazaki obtain a message that only Reiko’s mother and Fuse knew about? A connection between these two seemingly unrelated cases is revealed … …

18 months after the successful joint operation between Donoue General Hospital and Saito Teaching Hospital. Sagara Kosuke works as an instructor at Saito Teaching Hospital, at the request of Hospital Dean Matsuda Yoshio, as well as his regular job at Donoue General Hospital. His relationship with Yoshio is good, but some of the doctors at Saito Teaching Hospital are not happy that he is an instructor there.

Meanwhile, Moriyama Suguru becomes well known as a doctor for celebrities. He makes appearances on TV. Due to his rising popularity, Moriyama Suguru spends less time on treating patients. Sagara Kosuke then implements a trick to have Moriyama Suguru work as a temporary instructor at Saito Teaching Hospital.

Hakamada Yukio is a competent, mysterious lawyer who only handles settlement cases because of past experiences. Although his scathing words get on clients’ nerves, his primary consideration is their welfare. His philosophy that “love is something that can never be bought with money. But if a client is able to have genuine resolve, I’ll certainly get the compensation and give the push for a fresh start” is the basis for the problems that he solves one after another.

Ryoro Kurojima (Sadao Abe) is the director of a Tokyo apology center. His job is to teach others how to apologize. Ryoro Kurojima solves problems by using his apology techniques on anything from simple arbitration to a national crisis.
